  1. Its leaking from the middle of the metal fitting where the 90* elbow is, NOT from the rubber hose and NOT from where it screws into the compressor. I didn't know how big that whole line was, how hard to get to fitting on other end. My low pressure side was already cut and then spliced 6" from the compressor, I just thought it would be easiest to do the same fixing the leak on the high side. anyone?
  2. My AC fitting is leaking coming off the High pressure side right off the compressor. (The one that goes down and then towards the front of the car). I just need a new fitting from a parts car that had working AC ar at least someone knows there wasn't a leak right THERE on that fitting. Unbolt from compressor, cut rubber hose 6" down from fitting--thats all I need, I'll splice rubber hose on my car. Someone have that in a parts car they'll give me for $25 shipped 2-3 day shipping? (that they know would work, would take return if found bad when installed etc) tajmjacobs2@hotmail.com
  3. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v608/TajMan/DSCI0008.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v608/TajMan/DSCI0007.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v608/TajMan/DSCI0005.jpg I'll get pics of my new wastegate dealio now, better than before. I've just got a cameraphone at the moment
  4. what was that referring to? I've got a DSM turbo, w/wastegate, DSM BOV, etc.
  5. hinges coming... Who else has replaced them? Common wear item at 150K miles?
  6. I got an e-mail and replied to.
  7. I need to buy for cheap, some door hinges to put on my 89. Don't even have $ for best new ones, just cheapest ones that came from a car being parted out and had doors that opened and closed like stock. Just stock, no excessive play vertically, no bad noise closing. My driver's side just got REALLY bad, passenger's side wasn't good either. tajmjacobs2@hotmail.com
  8. Thats what I needed to know. We'll see if the car can boost past 10psi now with the wastegate working properly.
  9. When I put my e16G in my Conquest, rotated differently I made a new wastegate bracket adapter out of aluminum angle iron. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v608/TajMan/DSCI0006.jpg It didn't hold up very long, heat & whatever its broken off now. I've got some steel angle iron I can easily make another with the same way. My question is, how much tension should be on that wastegate rod with everything bolted up and wastegate closed engine off? Just finger tight so it can slip right on and put the pin through easily with nothing? Should it be pulling on that arm a little bit and really need some + pressure to ever begin to open? 1mm... 1/4" (pulled tighter, bracket holds there)...? I don't know if with bracketry like that its gonna get a little loose anyway when everything heats up so it needs a little tension on it cold. Car has open wastegate dump, so you hear exhaust dumping when you start accelerating. I need it held shut good and only opening when it intends to.
  10. How can I tell/check mine? My 89's idle drops sometimes erratically, a lot of times now its causing the engine to die when I let off the gas and push in the clutch- I've gotta keep my foot on the gas a little everywhere I go idling.
  11. See thats the thing. EVO III 16G, all kinds of things ported, not stock motor. Stock fuel system. MBC can have me 12psi till I go MPI later, if I still have the car.
  12. If I hotwire my fuel pump so I'm sure its getting full battery voltage and new fuel filter am I safe at 15psi?
  13. I need a better spring to make my home made MBC work, or else a new MBC. I need the boost huh.
  14. sorry its dirty http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v608/TajMan/Conquest5.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v608/TajMan/Conquest4.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v608/TajMan/Conquest3.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v608/TajMan/Conquest2.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v608/TajMan/Conquest1-1.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v608/TajMan/Conquest-1.jpg Video of engine running! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v608/TajMan/th_running.jpg
  15. Hey look what my new cheap ($35) 3.2 megapixel digital camera can do. AVI clips with audio! Not what I hoped, but you can hear deepness of exhaust. You can't hear my wastegate dump on the video but its great in real life. Accelerating in 2nd, slow shift into 3rd, accelerate in 3rd for a sec. http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v608/Taj...nt=DSCI0001.flv (only 6-7psi, just 75% WOT for a sec, not too high RPM) Car has roller cam, jet valve and balance shaft elimination, light head porting, good exhaust manifold porting and beautiful DSM EVO III 16G turbo ported by SlowBoyRacing. Custom 2.5" exhaust, open wastegate dump.
  16. My dream come true if I could end up with your Ducati. All I have is the $3K value car and a $500 78 Honda XL350 with motor out waiting for rebuild. Any type of services you need done? Don't want to set up the rest $3,700 on payment plan do you? lol Talk to me when you have money, see if I've still got car. lol @ 3si
  17. Don't know of anyone else in area selling one. I'm new here, but longtime big member on 3si.org With my car its a combo of the year, just rebuilt motor with receipt, and the beautiful e16G turbo, mainly, that put the price around $3K.
  18. This has been my only Conquest, one of many turbo mitsubishis though. I already edited ad for $3,000 price, isn't updated yet. If someone is interested in that range I will sell, if not I'll keep for now.
  19. Well I posted it on Autotrader so I might as well post here so all the important people see. http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?car_...1&cardist=0 I'm not set on selling it, I may have fun with it this summer, but if someone wants it... The thruth is I go through cars all too fast, at least it kept me busy for the time and I'm better off with that money in my life right now.
  20. Well I got my car with no turbo on it (in Michigan), I got sent in the mail a big16G that was previously on it, and the original 12a. All that was in the car was a stock oil feed line that threaded into the oil filter housing and into the the threads on the 12a I was sent. That line didn't fit into my EVO III 16G, and nowhere were there any fittings like you just posted in pics. Just stripped down to turbo only, the 12a and 16G have different threads.
  21. Huh, well I'll tell you what was on my car, there was no kind of restrictor or adapter on the oil feed of my 12a. There was nothing ever on there and I just double checked, no adapter there now. The fittings on my 12a and EVO III 16G were very different. 1.5 threads make sense for the stock line, I think the 16G's threads were something like 12X1.25.
  22. As long as you get them machined correctly. I wouldn't go that route but thats me. The 16G uses a different oil feed than the 12a. I finally got my oil feed running off: -banjo fitting and bolt off a VW fuel system from a junk yard. -stock oil feed pipe with end cut off and edges flared out near turbo -small section of goodyear hose and hose clamps to connect the stock line to VW piece. I need to upgrade to a steel braided hose even if just that and hose clamps on the rest thats already there.
  23. gonna be putting 12a intake and exhaust housing on! thats not right is it? The DSM turbo bolts up to the stock manifold, you just have to do some grinding on turbo so that nuts will fit on 3 of the studs, and remove 1 of the studs so a bolt can be used instead from underneath. Its easy to get the piece that bolts on for the turbo out pipe and then cut and fit your stock intercooler hose over it. That takes care of intake side, for exhaust you have to weld something up custom for after the turbo. Then fabricate new wastegate bracketry, oil and coolant lines.
