Prevolution
This may have been answered here before, but I've been away from the forum for a while and need to wrap my mind around my looming winter project. I'm using an intercooled 87' as donor (engine / gearbox) for my 74' Dodge Colt. It's bone stock except for the 88/89 gearbox, and the trilogy injectors. In doing the swap, I'm planning on keeping it relatively stock except for the turbo which I'd like to upgrade to a super 16g because the stock one is toast. It makes sense to do the downpipe at the same time. As well as an 88/89 ECU. So that leaves me with a slightly modded engine. In upgrading the turbo / downpipe (cat elimination), what other mods are needed to make this combination run well ? Can someone provide a chronological list of mods for the 4G54BT ? As well provide retailers for the various parts ? I'm looking for a short shifter too but everything in the "Group buy" section looks outdated. Thanking you in advance ! Nabbycraby
101propose sells short throw shifters Depends on the boost levels but if you run say 10psi with a 16g im pretty sure you wont need any fuel upgrades.... The 88-89 fuel system should be able to run that with no problems. Good luck!
