mikec Posted July 25, 2009 Report Share Posted July 25, 2009 It takes a few wire swaps, an 87-later style ISC+MPS assembly, and different injectors, to stuff an 88 ECU into an 86 car. The ECU won't care about the tranny type though: 87-later ECUs will work with either auto or 5-speed trannies.
