redakuma
is there anyway i can use a stock starion wastgate to a 16g turbo cuz its really hard to find a 16g actuator. HELP!!!!!! :character0056:
dstar88
is it a 05h 16g??(DSM) or is it a starion 16g?? im guessing its a dsm 05h 16g.. just go to a local pick n pull and look for an turbo eclipse or talon and pull one off of there. youll need to fab up a bracket tho.. the way the compressor side is clocked will not allow you to just bolt the actuator back on and expect it to work. the actuator arm will hit the exhaust housing. mikec
If the turbo is not from a DSM car (i.e. it's a remanufactured "stock" StarQuest turbo or one built for a StarQuest) then a stock -12a actuator will bolt up. The wastegate actuators are not specific to the type of turbo... they're specific to the car model. Just like the compressor housing (the silver "snail" of the turbo) varies from car model to car model (StarQuest snails are different than DSM snails, even for -16G turbos) the wastegate actuator actually matches up to the type of snail on the turbo. mike c.
