Its for 400 bux and the body is pretty straight except for the drivers fender has a decent dent in it/ airdam / small dent in back corner. The guy says it smokes, I had him start it and it was cold out so there was some white smoke just from it being cold but i really didnt see mutch. I asked him to leave the car running and he did for like 5 min and he said see there its smoking. It was looking to me like it was still white just from the cold.... But any who He said he parked it because it was smoking to bad about 2 years ago and he (didnt remember what color the smoke was when he parked it) humm. It sounds like one of the pisotons isnt fireing so I am going to do a typical toonup on it and hopefully its something simple. The guy has some bolts off and stuff unpluged because he said he was going to pull the engine but never did. Sounds kind of strange to me. If anyone has any ideas or simple tests plz let me know. Did you check the oil to see if it had any coolant in it?(milky brown) also a compressioonm test would tell you alot, either way a running quest for $400 is a great deal , pick it up Im sure theres some people around you who know a bit about them.And in case you havent figured it out, this site is priceless as far as info. ihavenoname Posted December 12, 2004 Author Report Share Posted December 12, 2004 I did check the oil and it was not oily but it did smell like gas so i changed it out and the turbo was blown in it (Hence) the smoke the guy saw. The car was over heating also, he never told me about that but i hooked up the fans and its fine now. But the Heater dosent work... ??? I will try to back flush the heater core tomarrow, Both of the hoses that go into the heater core are supost to be warm right? One is warm one is cold as of now. The car runs good i replaced the whires and put a blaster 2 ingition coil on it. I also added a 2 1/2 downpipe to get rid of the 2nd air cleaner and give it alittle more power. It seams to not have as mutch power as my 84. Why would that be? Could that be from sitting for 2 year? Any who thanks for the help.
