tsuprat Posted September 18, 2015 Report Share Posted September 18, 2015 (edited) Hi, Installing a kenwood radio. Theres are 2 wires in car harness and 1 illumination wire to radio. I have read posts with the install damaging cars electronics but have been unable to find those posts again. 1. anyone know what posts Im refering to and 2. which wire from car harness is to be used, dimmer control or tail lamp relay. carguygibby Posted September 18, 2015 Report Share Posted September 18, 2015 (edited) Do not use the dimmer control as a source, it is already at it's limit and you will blow that circuit. Instead, tap into the ashtray illumination wire.
