hi, i live in omaha, NE, have an 87 tsi i drive weekly, and an 88 in my garage which would not take much to get going (it funs, but rough; i think it may either be a tps problem or exhaust manifold issue, both items of which i have different ones to try) I have wanted a porsche 944 for some time now. both of my cars are for sale, $1000 for the 88, $1500 for the 87 obo, or trade for a 944. contact me at martygreco@hotmail.com for more info as i am rarely on this site thx for any interest

a little more info on the cars: the red 88- 5 speed (was an auto at one time) 16G, cnm cam, cnm exhaust, ARE wheels w/good rubber, black leather, lowering springs, straight body, a little faded, one small spot of rust above driver side rear wheelwell. newer clutch, brakes, fidanza flywheel. my 87_ black/black, 3" exhaust, 5 speed, ASE wideband & boost control, 9" & 8" wheels, previous owner decided to cut off some rust by rear wheelwells >:-( but gave me body panels from another Tsi, occasional ticking from valvetrain: i thought it may be the balance shafts, so i eliminated them, but it still ticks. i don't think its a rod, because it doesn't do it all the time, & i've been driving it for a year this way. i will try to get my hands on a camera in the next few days for pics, my # is 402-203-1857 thanks

I was just thinking that when they were new, a starquest was quite comparable to a 944 but cost half as much - in other words you could get a 944 for two starquests! ;)

true, but... (sigh) I've just always wanted one, and thats all there is to it.
