boneTSI Posted July 5, 2010 Report Share Posted July 5, 2010 i just got a new alternator,my battery is good.my car needs to be jumped to start now out of no where.its been driving great since i got it running again until this past week.when im coming to a stop al my gauges start to die and it sounds like im going to stall out,and i think i wouldve if i didnt hit the gas to go again.than when i went to pick up my pay check my car died while i was moving in first gear from a stop.has this happened to anyone? elconquestador Posted July 6, 2010 Report Share Posted July 6, 2010 Check your fusible links. Mine had very similar symptoms. Fusible links were really corroded on the ends, and one of the wires in the fusible link harness was broken inside the insulation. Replaced all that and cleaned all the grounds and it was good to go.
