A51BOARDER
hey guys, so i got a new steering wheel for my conquest, but i dont know how to take it off, can you guys tell me how i would do that?
RichyQuest87
pop the horn cover off and its either 17 or 19mm. Leave the nut on after you loosen it and start pulling. You leave the nut on to not hit yourself in the face with the wheel.

Killtodie
You can pry off the horn with your fingers. The bolt is 17mm. Spray it with PBBlaster and star jerking the wheel towards yourself.
19cturbo
it may take a friend as well.... when you get the nut lose, thread it back to where it is even with the steering shaft, and brace your feet on the floor pulling pretty hard, and have a friend tap the shaft with a hammer, it may take a good wack but it helps alot, dont damage the threads though, thats why you leave the nut on there even... remember that wheel has been on there 20+ years. strang3majik
or spend $5 at harbor freight and get a steering wheel puller that takes hardly any effort and won't damage anything...you're face included.
Killtodie
Mine came off very easy after a quick app with PB Blaster. Just yanked it right off.

Just yanked it right off. meh...I've had that work for me once, and it came off at an angle and put a rash in the spline of the steering wheel. Thats why I like the simple ratchet turn method
