Ok so i was looking around and saw that a 4g64 wideblocks are easier to find will bolt to the starions transmission as to where the 4g63 i have wont. So now here is my question I already have a Built 4g63 with wiseco 9.0:1 pistons and manley H-beam rods, Celvite 77s. Now I was thinking of selling it and building a 4g64 instead with pretty much same things and using a 1g 4g63 head. What are the pros and cons of each? Can someone help me out on this decision? I know the 4g63 can rev higher and all but what about power wise im looking to get the Starion into the 12s atleast before IFO in November. Edited by 302ci

If you can sell the motor for what you want id go 64 based on the mounts and transmission mounting. But if you had to lose money on selling it and took a while to sell just use what you have.

You may want to consider a 1jz swap. With a clutch exhaust and sticky tires its a 12 second car. 13 flats bone stock motor. I got my engine and trans harness all that for 1800.

hmmm what ecu though lol. If this sells and i dont find a 4g64 built for right price i might do that swap.

On second thought naaa no 1jz for me would need alot more work than the 4g63/4g64 swap would.
