  1. rj, huh? what gives you that idea? ;D you,re right, it looks awesome! thanks for the feedback and info. i'm going to check that site right now.
  2. anyone know who owns the blue quest with the roh snypers on the www.26liter.us site? if so, what diameter, width, and backspace are those wheels and has the car been lowered? if so, with what? it looks great!! thanks
  3. i am planning ahead for my next Quest. i want to run american racing torq thrust II's. i think i'll go with a 16X8 in front with the same offset as the factory 8" front wheel. for the rear, i can either go with an 8" with factory offset, or a 9.5" with custom offset. of course, i would rather run the 9.5". i am assuming that the extra half inch (versus the factory 9" rim) will all have to go towards the outside of the rim (making the rim fit like the factory wheel, but sticking out from the car an extra half inch). will the extra wheel sticking out look stupid? if so, is there any room to put some of that extra width back toward the car? if i go with the 9.5, is it going to keep me from lowering the car and inch or so? thanks, Brandon
  4. i would like to put a set of 17" rims on my starquest, preferrably american racing torq thrust II's in a custom offset. anyone know the max wheel widths and tire sizes i could run with 17" rims and the stock ride height? how about offset to keep the rims setting out atleast as much as the factory ones (not tucked way back under the fender)? thanks
  5. thanks for all the info guys. i think i'll go with the KYB's and S.T. springs with 225/50 up front and 245/45 out back. i know i can use these sizes with either the 7/8 combo or the 8/9 combo, but do you guys have a preference (as to how these size tires will look on the different sized rims)? Brandon
  6. i'm not positive on all of my suspension knowledge. are shocks and struts basically the same thing? if so, then you don't need shocks AND struts on any vehicle, right? also, are coilovers just adjustable shocks/struts? am i correct that the starquests have struts with coil springs on all four corners? please forgive my stupidity....i'm trying to learn. thanks, Brandon
  7. i'm pondering KYB replacement struts and maybe a lowering spring set such as the Suspension Tech 1" kit. anybody here done anything similiar? what did you use? can i stick with stock tire size if i lower it an inch or will i have to go lower profile? what are the chances of scrubbing on the front if i'm running an 8" rim? thanks, Brandon
