  1. That is the problem with mine. I haven't found a molded cap only cheesy dasdh covers. If anyone knows of a molded cap please let us know. I was thinking of recovering it myself. I did that for the A-pillar. I just got some material that matched, removed the pillar, sanded off the old flocking, cut the material to fit (leave enough to wrap about an 1/8 - 1/4 inch all the way around), sprayed the pillar with spray adhesive (commonly used on pool table felt), then stretch the material around the pillar, let it dry and reinstalled the pillar. It looks as good as new. If I do the dash I'll let you know how it goes.
  2. Does anyone know a way to refinish a sun damaged dash? I had hoped the dash was leather covered but it appears to be a molded finish. Are the only options replacement (hard to locate) or coveriing (may create problems with fit).

  4. Not to sure what the vent/separator tank does! When my 87's was leaking, I had to replace it. I did ask a mitsubishi mechanic if it could just be bypassed and he said it could but then the car would not run right. Wish I could provide more info.
  5. There is a plastic vent/sepsartor tank in the raised area. After taking the spare tire out remove the small metal plate in the center, it should just be tarred in place. You should be able to see a black plastic tank in the raised area.
