They recommend installing it further from turbo or it wont last long due to heat. I guess only way to find out if it's bad would be to swap for new one.Not sure if there is a way to test it. Yours is pretty good distance away.

Here is another thing we can do to make things last longer and function as they should.

Notice l placed the grease fitting so its easy to access from side of the car.Inside hole is drilled at on angle to deliver grease to just the right spot and get tossed around by inertia. Enjoy.
