  1. I'll give that a shot, I already cleaned out the drain holes with some compressed air and my inside body seal is still good, So it doesnt leak, it would just be nice to have the outside seal again
  2. If you find one let me know where as I need one also, and I cant seem to find anywhere that sells them.
  3. If you happen to have any left PM me and i'll buy one
  4. Put me down for a radio kit with 3 gauge holes below the deck
  5. Have any Large's Left and how much to 66440
  6. My 87 just had a similar problem to find it I had to take the hood off and hook up a Fuel Pressure Tester and have someone watch it while I was driving the car, everytime it fell on its face I lost fuel pressure, ended up being a previous owner thought that the cone filter for the factory pump went inside of the suction hose from the pump to the tank, everytime the engine demanded a high volume of fuel it would collapse and block off almost all of the gas, the only way I found it was to remove all fuel lines and blow them with compressed air backwards and out popped that stupid filter, anyways you might give that a try, it worked for me
  7. A big thanks to everyone for there suggestions I finally figured it out I had to remove the hood so I could try to make the car boost and watch a fuel pressure gauge when it screwed up, to make a long story short I was losing fuel pressure fast, after triple checking everything I removed the rubber line from the back of the pump to the siphon hose and blew compressed air through it, and out popped the cone filter for the factory pump, which the previous owner must have shoved in there thinking that it was needed, it was acting like a reed valve and when the pump tried sucking alot of fuel through it under boost it would collapse and block off the line, causing the sudden drop in pressure, after putting everything back on, it runs great at all speeds. so lesson learned always check everything atleast twice. Paul
  8. Fuel tank cleaned, and all new filters installed, My fuel pressure gauge never drops when it falls on it's face, it holds steady, going out on a limb here but could a bad distributor pick up coil cause this?
  9. Just a thought and I might be wrong as I don't have one of those trucks but why not just use the turbo feed line holes to install an Oil Cooler if you drive your 4x4's anything like I drive mine it might help out in the long run
  10. I both checked and changed the coolant sensor, and the air/fuel gauge shuts off when the car falls on its face which is really weird cause it's wired directly to the battery
  11. I did check the vacuum advance just forgot to mention it, it held vacuum, I just remembered that when I changed the dist. cap & rotor that the inside of the old cap was filthy w/ what looked like oil maybe the pick up is covered in it to, ill try some contact cleaner on that & see if it helps, along w/ checking the I/C piping and brake booster hose like you said to do. Ill post results in a couple of hours
  12. I recently purchased an 87 Quest w/ no prior history on the car except the it has a new NJV head on it w/ only 5 miles, it was sitting for about 1 year, so first thing I did was to clean out the fuel system, rebuild the TBI, including reset & test on ISC & TPS), Injectors have a nice spray pattern, checked the fuel pressure 41psi w/ key on car not running, replaced the coolant sensor, put on new injector clips, ohm tested the injectors, new o2 sensor, new NGK Plugs, Wires, Distributor Cap & Rotor & Coil. installed a narrow band Air Fuel Ratio Gauge for testing purposes, car will start right up and idle great, heck it even runs great for about 10 minutes the car will boost fine however after about 5 to 10 minutes (several miles) as soon as the boost gauge even approaches 0 (building boost) the car falls flat on its face and will sometimes even backfire, I already checked the function of the secondary injector seems to be fine at idle I can smash the throttle wide open and it jumps to 4500 to 5000 easily with out even a sputter. The only way to get it home is to ease into it and limp home pulling only vacuum never letting the turbo start to spool. I checked the ECU Codes and its not reading anything but the O2 sensor until the car warms up, anyone have any idea on this, any help would be greatly appreciated. Also the car has no cats on it, I already eliminated those :-)
