IT WOULDNT LET ME POST THIS IN THE FAQS AND HOW TO SECTION SO IM POSTING HERE LOOKING FOR HELP I have some 92mm je forged pistons i am trying to sell and have a potential buyer set up... they buyer wants to know specs on compression ratio, but i know nothing about them other than brand and bore size( got them with a parts car and dont have nothing to use them in), only two markings on them are 92m and je, is there any way to determine the compression ratio on them without having them installed in a engine? they potential buyer says je charges 75 dollars to identify pistons and i am hoping to get them figured out to make this sell, any help is greatly appreciated!!!!

Was getting fed up with trying to get my engine running, finally was about to start it and ran into problems priming the oil system. I need a car running, and since my 300zx has just had the engine tore down, i figured the Starion would be the better option. Found a fully rebuilt engine with all new insides with only 4000 miles on it - problem is it was originally built for a monturbo application and has 10:1 weisco pistons The engine itself is said to run fine and not knock with a stock turbo What problems do you see with running this engine with 10:1 compression ratio pistons on my starion? This would limit performance capabilities vs running 7 or 8 :1 pistons, no? Thoughts are appreciated thanks Aaron

Hello everybody! I am rebuilding my 88 quest ( rings, bearings, chains, gaskets, and all of the little stuff) and i want some advice on what and where i should buy my parts. if there are any tips or tricks please let me know also. so ill tell you what were working with here... its an 88 Conquest Tsi 5 speed i currently have the engine and trany removed. i have taken all of the components under the hood out then cleaned, painted the engine bay, and replaced the parts(with the old ones not new). So its ready for the engine and trany but i havent had the money to purchase the parts to do it (and i want to keep it as cheep as possible) the block is taken apart (all parts are removed) the cylinder head has a broken rocker arm... i have no idea what to do with this...??? Parts i believe ill need are: rings- what size what brand price?? bearings (main and rod) -size brand price?? gaskets from top to bottom- whats the best deal??? injector wire plugs(the part that plugs into the injectors)- is there an alternative?? New cylinder head?? or can i have mine fixed?? chains- i dont know what all i need to do them??? electrical parts i can remove? or what do i need?? Thanks for your time! Please Help!
