  1. is there a difference between intercooled and non intercooled bushings for the idler arm kits? i dont see any for "intercooled" only non intercooled anyone have a part number for the intercooled or are they the same for both ? just wondring
  2. i need to get some hoses for the brake reservoir to master cylinder and the clutch reservoir to clutch master cylinder. the right of this pic. the hose is thin compared to the hoses i have access to. Question: does the primary injector fire from IDLE to MAX RPM? if YES Then Disclaimer: this is just a question and some remarks are just for example dont shoot me for examples.... if yes then whay cant we splice in an injector clip from the primary get 2 larger injectors like 1000cc or bigger but same size. use only the primary injector and the spliced clip from the primary injector. secondary injector clip is not used. well more on that later. TUNING: you can tune with the MAFT or any other device like it or MegaSquirt now dont verbally beat me up this is just food for thought. with megasquirt or MS you can batch fire the injectors the injectors are ran off of 2 banks also. so why not run the injectors off of one primary injector harness from the quest and tune with a MAFT or similar tuning unit. i cant see how this would not work and for the MAFT sake make it easier to tune. dont have to worry about the transition of the secondary injector and boost pressure bumping the fuel pressure up. i think it would be a better running car and tuning would slightly be easier. possibly more consistant. again only a thought,

  7. well i need to change my master cylinder. it has a little leak. all other brake components work well. i read up on all the bleeding order but no real info on just changing the master. i will be doing the ABS elim also. any suggestions would be great. Thanks.

  9. Well just plain simple Should I bench bleed the master clutch cylinder Before I put it in? Any tips or tricks? Suggestions?
  10. well when things go wrong they go in 3's 1st. accident in WRX tore front grill - bumper off the car. dont ask juts dumb on my part. 2nd. while that was getting fixed i drove the Quest. ran great until the slave cylinder took a dump. I understand it is old and lots and lots of miles. so no car for a few days because primary car is in shop. order parts they are out of stock and none at the ware house. Quest by far easy fix. no parts, no fix. 3rd. get subie back and drive it for one day and clutch takes a dump. after having the WRX looked at they find that the shift fork bent at the pivot ball. the shift fork is stamped steel from the looks of it. the clutch in the WRX was replaced about 14 months a go. ACT heavy duty with street disc. and it ran fine but maybe too much for old shift fork with 168,000 miles on it. i will see this shift fork as tonight or tomorrow i will post a pic if i can get one. I hope to be back on the road tomorrow night. Again Thanks for listenning.

Well I was driving the quest to work and got off at the exit ramp and was 3 lights away from the parking garage. i went to put the car in gear and the clutch pedal went to the floor and never came back. I had to manage to get it going and park it. i will have to see where the leak is. wish it was just the hose because i have the hose.... I am thinking of replacing the clutch master cylinder and the slave and hose. might as well. they do look old. I also feel while that is all getting done i might as well just do the brake master cylinder, brake booster and ABS delete.they are a little rusty. seems like one thing after another. fix one then the next problem comes. cant get a brake. Cant get ahead of the game.
  12. anyone have the torque app if so what are you using for the blue tooth adapter? i want to get it but want to get an affordable bluetooth adapter for the OBDII. any suggestions? Thanks

  15. well i failed inspection here in Virginia. The reason is no EGR Valve. my car never had one since before i purchased it.i do have an EGR and can install it but all the related items including the Charcoal canister and thermal valve are gone. I want to go MPI and don't know how i will ever pass once that is complete. anyone in Northern Virginia have any advice?
  16. under hood heat shield and mounting clips. Looking for the heat shield under the hood. not the metal shield but the bigger fiberglass one. also the clips to mount it please.
