  1. Here's another one fellas! Some of you had been asking for these so I went ahead and created them as well. A ton of time went into getting these correct, but all-in-all I think they turned out well. These are "identical reproductions" of the original HVAC control faceplates for the model years 1988-1989. Removal of the original is similar to the earlier overlays that I offered here. Replace yours which may be worn out, or if your tired of the Star Wars Orange look or if your ride is themed differently perhaps with Mookeeh overlays then go with a new White one. The choice is yours: These are available in 2 colors. OEM Orange: http://i1234.photobucket.com/albums/ff408/n8tallica1/SQC%20Items/DSC01739.jpg White: http://i1234.photobucket.com/albums/ff408/n8tallica1/SQC%20Items/DSC01740.jpg Both are self-adhesive, just remove the original, clean the faceplate mounting surface align and apply the new one. http://i1234.photobucket.com/albums/ff408/n8tallica1/SQC%20Items/DSC01735.jpg *Please note the backlit portions of the buttons (i.e Economy, Auto, Up, Down, Fans, Defrost, Face/Floor Defrost etc...) will be clear, along with the small openings for the orange on/off LEDs when the adhesive backing is removed. I did make one tiny little change to these, but I don't think anyone will object, or notice for that matter. Pricing for either one of these items will be $25.00 shipped anywhere in the U.S usually within 1 day of ordering. My paypal address is: natallica@comcast.net *In the Paypal notes please provide the preferred color overlay along with you mailing address and screen name. DIsclaimer I assume NO responsibility in ANY damage done to your faceplate if you choose to purchase one of these kits for yours, I am only offering these (and these walk-throughs) as an inexpensive cosmetic replacement to old worn out buttons. Apart from finding a brand new unit (which is impossible) this is the only option that I can think of, so if you think you are mechanically inclined enough to dismantle and scrape glue and metal and clean surfaces...then by all means grab one of these kits. It's relatively easy to do if you take your time and be thorough in the prep, you should be happy with the results. No overlays will be replaced 'free of charge' due to faulty preparation. *Faceplate in photo not included Thanks Guys, lemme know what you think! -N8
  2. Hello everyone. I know it seems I don't contribute...... well I hope that will soon change. I am in search of an 88 or 89 Conquest or Starion, prefer 5 speed. I am leaving out Friday after work to look at a 88 White, non running, 5 speed with leather, body in nice shape, and a 89 black, running auto also with leather, front seats need work and both quarter panels have rust..... both are 7 hours away from me but 15 minutes from each other..... Now on the other hand I have found one only an hour and a half away that is also white, not running, auto, with cloth interior. body good shape and a shp car with the stock wheels. Both cars 7 hours away $2k each the closer $3k...... I am willing to drive for one, prefer 5 speed, also I think I would prefer leather, but would really love to find a nice running car......... Your thoughts or maybe you have a lead on a 4th car that is just what I am looking for?????? BTW the 5 speed has been modded and has a Talon MAF and hasn't ran since it was put in. Other than that it has a new head, JE forged pistons, T3/T4 turbo, hard pipe conversion, new crank shaft. all of this is according to the seller..... of course, and a new clutch. Said it would start but not run. It also sounds like a SHP car, has adjustment on rear struts....
  3. Hi All, New to the forums and came across old posts for users selling ported vacuum switches. This was the original post I found with pictures of the part. http://www.starquestclub.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=141609 No one seems to make them, sell them, or have any in stock so Im hoping to get lucky and someone here has one I could purchase? Thank you all for reading and any help you can give me! -RJ
  4. Welp, ran into an awesome deal, so I went to the bank and exchanged my last 3 paychecks for lots of crispy $100's, I'm heading to Nashville, Tennessee in the morning to pick up an '89 SHP with sunroof, rebuilt bottom end and new head, everything ready to reinstall (gaskets hoses etc). Heatmiser's ride! Can't wait, on the lookout for White Castles and Big Red soda too , will post pics....here's a taste for now. http://i1234.photobucket.com/albums/ff408/n8tallica1/1989%20Fiji%20Blue%20Conquest%20TSi/1989%20Conquest%20TSi%20SHP/3G33Mb3Ha5I85K35H1d641dc54cf2db271e_zpsb3b84124.jpg http://i1234.photobucket.com/albums/ff408/n8tallica1/1989%20Fiji%20Blue%20Conquest%20TSi/1989%20Conquest%20TSi%20SHP/GEDC1158_zps13f0c9e7.jpg http://i1234.photobucket.com/albums/ff408/n8tallica1/1989%20Fiji%20Blue%20Conquest%20TSi/1989%20Conquest%20TSi%20SHP/engine1_zps3f2eade3.jpg http://i1234.photobucket.com/albums/ff408/n8tallica1/1989%20Fiji%20Blue%20Conquest%20TSi/1989%20Conquest%20TSi%20SHP/int_zps1c14ac36.jpg -N8
  5. This car is about an hour away from me if anyone is serious and would like me to look it over, I can do so for the cost of gas. Too bad it is not a cheap rust free yellow roller. The motor was rebuilt last year. Block was board .40 over used all new .40 over pistons, rings, bearings, oem Mitsubishi oil pump, new gaskets and seals. The head was resurfaced and has 1mm over sieved stainless intake and exhaust valves along with beefier valve springs. It has all new oem Mitsubishi fuel filters oem Mitsubishi clutch, new clutch slave cylinder, spark plugs, cap, rotor, ngk plug wires, new vacuum advance, and cooling fans. List of other mods and upgrades are, upgraded injectors, autometer boost gauge, aem wide band o2, gm Maf with translator, all hard piping to and from intercooler, modded factory intercooler, hks super sequential blow off valve, 3 inch turbo back exhaust (stright pipe), and 18g turbo. The car runs fine. It has a little miss at higher rpm. I try not to go into the upper rpm range cause the motor maybe has 50 miles on it so its still being broke in. Other than that it runs and feels good and strong. The interior could use a little work mostly dirty but its all there. Body is straight with very very few dents or dings. Paint is a little faded on hood and roof. Its not bad at all for being a old rare car. All in all this is a great car for someone looking to mess around with something. Looking to get 3500 o.b.o. If any questions or interested or want more pics call of txt me Kyle at 407780fivesixtwonine. Txt anytime but during the week please call after 5pm. Thank you.
  6. I am looking for an 88/89 240mm flywheel. Doesn't need to be resurfaced already, I can take care of that. It will be going to 97006.
  7. So here's what we have. . . . 89, 5 speed red Chrysler Conquest Megasquirt 2, precision MPI Nitrous kit (wet), oil pump engine overhaul kit aftermarket inercooler fuel pressure regulator wiesco pistons & etc. Our movie is a indie film regarding street racing and is centered around the Conquest. Seeking a technical consultant for our sponsored shop as a build support. The shop has many reservation about the engines ability to create 555+hp (they typically just deal with 2JZ's), I assured them that the G54B is more then capable of power. Don't make me look bad. If you CURRENTLY OWN a 89 StarQuest with a MPI CONVERSION running a DIY MegaSquirt 2.0, I would like to speak with you! Nitrous guys are a plus, place STARQUEST in the subject of the email and include this link. It helps us remember as you can imagine the inbox gets crowded. Movie@AtlantaLegend.com

  9. I'm reading around the forums here, and I'm getting really mixed opinions on swapping my '87 ECU with an '88-'89 ECU. Is this whole swapping thing just a theory? Or has it really been tested and proven to be better?
