  1. I have complete interior minus instrument cluster and computer cover near rt passenger foot, and junk cover under rear window.. Dash has several small cracks. some sun damage, passenger seat thread is gone, leather is ok.. $ cheap plus shipping north west chicago 60631 mike.horist@comcast.net
  2. I have a set of front and rear seats with matching side panels out of an '88 Starion. The whole set has been custom matched with the front seats having some extra padding in the center portion of the seat. I would consider the door panels to be in good condition with the seats being in very good condition. I would prefer somewhat local pickup but am willing to work with buyer on shipping, both cost and suggestions. Shipping items of this size is new to me. I am asking $375 OBO for everything. Shipping if required, will be negotiated with buyer. Thank you very much for looking. Located in Salem, OR.
  3. Unfortunately I slid off the road and into a ditch. I am quite devastated. The damage dealt is repairable, I just know that as of now I definitely need a new front spoiler and possibly a few other parts. If you have any parts for the front of a starion or conquest that you plan to sell, please message me here, or text me at 692-239-9547.
  4. Parting out 1988 Mitsubishi Starion Orland, Ca 95963 just off I5 90 miles north of Sac, 60-70 miles south of redding Would like to sell the whole thing. Wheels and tires are already sold. Take the whole thing for $500obo. Had a small engine backfire and burned a fair share of the wiring/throttle body area. Wheels, tires, turbo and intercooler are already spoken for. Body is in great shape other than the driver front fender. All glass is great except windshield. Mechanical: Has brand new kyb struts front and rear with adjustable ride height strut sleeves. LSD rear, 5-speed trans, stage 3 clutch, lightened flywheel. Motor had less than 20,000 on it, but would need to be gone through at least to replace gaskets and seals. Brand new walbro fuel pump. Custom full 3" exhaust with no cats and a 4.5" fart can muffler. You would have to make it adapt to your stock or an aftermarket downpipe because the way the person built it. Interior: Dash is no good, headliner is okay.. just burned the cloth off. Rear seats are salvageable if you can get all the melted plastic off. Rear panels are all perfect. Has the rear wiper fluid reservoir in perfect shape. Power windows and locks work. Hell even the stock alarm worked until the fire happened. Lol Can't really think of anything else. Comment on here or text/call me for more info. 530-519-8001 I have no clue how to add pictures, but I can't text or email them to you if interested Thanks for reading
  5. Hey guys, I'm not getting out of the game... just trying to downsize! I brought her back from certain death a couple of years ago, but it's time to pass her on to another enthusiast (now that the hard part is over ) I just completed an 89 SHP and my 89 Fiji build is next and I can't keep 3 cars so I have to let one go. This was my daily driver as soon as I got her road worthy. I let the inspection run out while installing the brand new head, so it's currently not PA inspected, but should pass with no issues at all if bought an titled in PA. (Clean PA Title as well) You will find there has been a butt-load done to this car. I'll do my best to explain what all has been done, but I'm sure I'll miss something, so here it goes: She's a 1988 Chrysler Conquest TSi (non-SHP) Rio/Mexican Red (123K on body, no sunroof)) Completely rebuilt G54B (bored .20, cooked, magnafluxed, line bored, decked, ) Balance shafts eliminated, Clevite bearings and used all Fel-Pro gaskets (approx. 25K on rebuild) All new timing components from DAD's site Motor and all accessories (timing cover/water pump/pulleys etc.) have been painted and/or powder coated Newer Automatic Transmission L4N71B from '89 (clean, with OD ...works great, recently replaced filter, fluids, inhibitor switch, linkage) Brand New HKS LET-M01 Cat-Back Exhaust System Brand new M28 NJ Head (approx 20 miles on it) , new seals, springs, stock valves and all hydraulic lifters ( sorry guys, the Mitsu logo VC will not come with purchase, black texture finish one will be installed in place of this one) New 650CC/950CC Injectors from Brian Lower Shores Performance (a cleaned set of 'stockers' from Witchhunter Performance will also be included) NGK Plugs (yes, the correct plugs) and NGK Plug Wires MK1 Chrome intake piping, and (I think.. a KD? OVCP) powder coated black mist with TSi decal Very new R1 Concepts Drilled/Slotted rotors and new hawk pads (all 4 corners) Blue 3SX Braided Stainless Steel Teflon Coated Brake lines (all 4 corners) Newer Tokico Blues all around (approx 10,000k on them) Polished rims (clear stripped/sanded and polished) Completely rebuilt stock 12ATurbo Heater Core has been replaced. Stock 89 seats, typical wear could use re-upholstering and/or seatcovers Mookeeh Blue Indiglo gauges Natallica's own HVAC overlay (with blue LEDs) Natallica's own Blue headlight inserts New Natallica's Outer Body Decals (black and black reflective) End links and sway bar bushings replaced Newer Dunlop Direzza 50/55 Series Tires (possibly more than half tread left) Newer uncracked/non-leaking taillights, very clean! Clear fog lenses with new bulbs Newer windshield installed (used, original was cracked) Sony Digital Media player Bluetooth head unit with 4 all new Sony Xplod speakers (no CD, plays mp3 players in TuneTray (steering controls will work with addition of PAC-SWI box Brand New Power Antenna unit installed, functions perfectly as it should And last but not least, door panels were upgraded with 'completely refurbished' 89 Auto-Down window switch and passenger side window switch. http://i1234.photobucket.com/albums/ff408/n8tallica1/DSC01182.jpg http://i1234.photobucket.com/albums/ff408/n8tallica1/DSC01200.jpg http://i1234.photobucket.com/albums/ff408/n8tallica1/n8tallicaandLilith_zps20768afb.jpg http://i1234.photobucket.com/albums/ff408/n8tallica1/DSC04286_zps865f4762.jpg http://i1234.photobucket.com/albums/ff408/n8tallica1/DSC04288_zps00177316.jpg http://i1234.photobucket.com/albums/ff408/n8tallica1/DSC04293_zps205cbc6a.jpg http://i1234.photobucket.com/albums/ff408/n8tallica1/DSC04290_zps361fbadd.jpg I cared to much for the work I put into this car, it has never been sideways and I never drove it like crazy. I just enjoyed the normal 'snappy' driving and the looks and questions I would get. I loved this car too much to dog on it, so no worries there. AC was non functioning when I purchased the car mpst of it is still there but I never had it gone over and charged. ABS unit still works. This car was supposed to be painted Blue, hence the under hood already being finished. Not the greatest job in the world but it looks a lot cleaner than it did, I just never got around to getting her painted. Other projects took precedence and this was 'function over form'. To be honest she could use a coat of paint but a little Meguiar's body scrub still goes a long way with her, just hasn't been done for a while, she's starting to show her pink. I have most all of my receipts for this build for the buyer and I hope there is enough information here for you, if you can think of any questions, feel free to send me a PM and I'll be glad to assist! Buyer would set up any kind of shipping or transporting of vehicle via truck or trailer, however the car runs fine but due to the fact it's not inspected it's not legally allowed on the highway so unless you're local and willing to take the chance of getting busted, it may be wise to rent a transport to get from A to B (however I'm sure for test drives we could shoot up and down my road, should be a problem) I'm asking $3800 OBO for her. Like most cases, I have almost double this in it, but I know I'll never get that back, and that's cool. Due to this private sale I'm offering her up AS-IS, no warranties are implied. I'm sure it's common knowledge around here, that this is normally the case but I just want to throw it out there. If interested please PM with your information and hopefully we can work something out! Thanks for looking fellas! Hope you dig her as much as I have, but gotta move on to the next one -N8
  6. I am selling a 1988 Starion that has an engine with 0 miles. I bought two cars from jonboyb, and one of them is gone already, so here is what you are getting: A Solid body with little or no rust that I can find, yet unfortunately got hailed on. I didn't receive a black hood with it, so it has the silver hood. The car has been in a garage for the last 4ish years. The engine was built by jonboyb and has many new parts, including a new crank. It has never been cranked as far as I know, but has been in a shop since I have had it. The previous owner had installed a V8 into the car, I have reinstalled a stock engine. You get a complete engine wiring harness with the car. I have a good bit of parts that go with the car, two transmissions, extra starter, some turbo parts extra 12a and a S16G, extra cluster, extra injectors, etc. Look at the pictures. I know I am going to take a big loss on this, but I need this car out of my garage, I don't have the time or money to fix it. I have all four Starion wheels that have fairly new tires on them plus a brand new tire of the same type. The two mismatched wheels are off a 300ZX, lol. This car does not come with everything needed to get it running unfortunately. You will need a radiator, intercooler and piping, and a driveshaft which I seem to have lost. I have 2k in all this stuff, I don't expect to get that for a car that doesn't run, so I will start at $1500, mainly because of the engine. I would prefer to sell everything at once to one person and be done with it. http://s63.photobucket.com/user/starion76/slideshow/Starion%20FS
  7. I have a 100% working ECM from a 1988 Starion. I don't need it now because I am going full MegaSquirt and EDIS. Price is $75 shipped or delivered! Located in Bremerton WA. I also work in Tillicum (lakewood) so can deliver if needed. Thank You! http://i274.photobucket.com/albums/jj279/volopics/Stuff%20For%20Sale/20130331_192826_zps3aef0dac.jpg http://i274.photobucket.com/albums/jj279/volopics/Stuff%20For%20Sale/20130331_192847_zpse403dc87.jpg
  8. This thread is dedicated to the restoration of my first car, a 1988 Mitsubishi Starion. I bought it on December 8th, 2012 (2 days after my 18th birthday) from a local man who was selling his project because he wanted to spend more time with his grandchildren. On the way home it wouldn't hold any RPM's and eventually stalled out. Luckily we weren't far from home, and we're friends with a local tow truck driver. At first we thought it was a bad fuel pump or a dirty tank, but upon giving it a fresh battery, it started and ran fine. Since then I've put on 2 front tires that hold air (they were used tires from our pile, but hey, they were free), since the old ones were rotten and leaky (I will be putting on a set of brand new ones before I'm finished the project). 2 weeks ago I pulled the radiator before starting a 2 week long condensed college course, so i was unable to do anything aside from ordering a new radiator. Today I discovered that my new radiator does not have the two holes at either side of the bottom of the tank where the coolant temperature sensors for the fans plug into, which brings me to my first of many questions, how should I go about solving this? Is there a way to have the coolant temp sensors somewhere else, or do I have to buy a different radiator? I also need to get the wastegate working properly. Should i be able to move it freely without the car running or should I not be able to move the linkage at all? right now I haven't seen it move with the car off, idling, or running at a higher speed. I know the vacuum lines are routed wrong, but does it sound like I will need a new wastegate solenoid? Anyway, thing still on the list of things to do: Front Wheel Bearings Strut Rod Bushings Drain and fill differential/trans Brake hoses Fix parking brake Complete brake job (drilled and slotted rotors?) Sway bar bushings Tires Polish wheels Paint-(going with Summit's Acrylic Urethane System-Merlot color) Possibly an aftermarket intake Fix an exhaust leak at the flange behind the second catalytic converter Some parts I could use some help finding: Wheel center caps? I cant find them anywhere... Rear wiper motor Rear wiper arm is rusted and bent Here's a picture of the day I brought it home, as well as a picture of the paint color I'm getting If you have any suggestions or answers to my questions, your help is much appreciated. Colin
  9. Hello there! This isn't my first post on SQC, but it is my first since I actually acquired my new ride. Unfortunately she's a loooong way from showtime, but for a 25 year-old-car, who really expects that. I did, however, overpay for this lump. It's non-running and I dropped 2 grand for it.... oops... but it's quite rare in my area so well worth it in the end (so I hope!) Well, here it is in all its 80's glory. My 1988 Conquest TSI On the farm where I bought it from... this thing was REALLY DIRTY http://i.imgur.com/l9W6p54.jpg After I cleaned up a bit and got it into a garage, unfortunately not my own garage so my time here is limited. http://i.imgur.com/lAmB1YD.jpg http://i.imgur.com/k7DZ2np.jpg http://i.imgur.com/mNKOjxs.jpg I was told that this car just needed a new head to make it run well, but that sounded waaaay to good to be true... This thing is a pit. He included a new head in the sale, but I have yet to see it so i don't know what kind it is. The wiring in this is especially bad. It's poorly laid out, disconnected in random spots, cut in places, etc, but no frays and it looks to be all there still. Disconnected that ridiculously complex air intake system (seriously, what's the deal with that huge thing anyway?!) so I could actually see things better... The turbo is brand new OEM but the intercooler is shot. There's an aftermarket blowoff valve on it, but for some reason the previous owner left the old one plugged into the wiring system...why did he----?! http://i.imgur.com/82qIhYZ.jpg Then, after pulling the valve cover, I was really shocked. This valve-train looks brand-spanking new, doesn't it? Why would the owner say it needs a new head? Guess I won't know till I pull the darn thing off... The valve cover even looks new-ish. What are all those little threaded holes in the valve cover? Is there supposed to be something in those? They don't line up with the head, but I don't think it would be a good idea to have oil spurting out of those after all is put together again, haha. http://i.imgur.com/xs6OQ6X.jpg http://i.imgur.com/rqU8GiR.jpg To put this whole thing simply, I bought a project car that I don't even understand, lol. I have 0 experience with engine work so I'm relying on friends and forum members to get the car back on its feet. To make matters worse, I can't even drive a stick yet. But... we'll see what happens. I don't have any big plans yet besides getting it running, but i'd like to go for something more rally-inspired as I've always been a huge fan of rally racing and the Starion has "some" roots in that motorsport. If you guys see ANYTHING that looks wrong, missing, or out of place, PLEASE let me know!! Thank you! And if anyone's interested, this is what I'm stepping over from. This is my daily driver: http://i.imgur.com/CYUt1GJ.jpg

  11. From the album: My former SQs

I bought this car in Florida a few years after I sold the white one. Due to some circumstances, I was unable to keep it and ended up selling it as well.
  12. From the album: My former SQs

I bought this car used in Tampa in the early 90's, it had several problems and I ended up selling it not too much later. Really liked the layout of the car, so I bought a red one a few years later.
  13. I searched, but could not find an answer. Will a 88 distributor work in a 87? My car is a 87 5sp widebody. The only engine mod is hard pipes with a bov.

  16. I'm selling the car even though I'm really sad to do it. It's my daily driver right now and I need something a little more reliable. The car runs really well and starts when you turn the key but has a few problems that make the impractical for me right now. I've done a good amount of work to the car but it needs a lot of body work and some has a few mechanical problems. It has around 136,000 miles (I say about b/c the speedo cable has been broken for two months). What I've done: Top End Performance Rear Struts and Front Struts (http://www.racetep.com/dod_mitstrut.html) Top End Performance Lowering Springs Top End Performance Front Sway Bar Top End Performance Custom Made Rear Differential Mounts Top End Performance Installed Rear Axels Metal Master Brake Pads (Front and Rear) Top End Performance Performance Street Clutch (less than 500 miles wear) Dunlop Tires (less than 1,000 miles wear) Top End Performance Mandrel Bent Down Pipe (w/ new 02 sensor) Tope End Performance Mandrel Bent B Pipe with High Flow Catalytic Converter HKS Cat Back Exhaust Top End Performance Over the Valve Cover Hard Pipe with Turbo XS BOV Turbo XS Manual Boost Controller New Starter Motor Rebuilt Power Steering Gearbox Replaced Injector Clips Autometer Boost Gauge Whats Wrong Right Now: Reverse Lights Don't Turn on in Reverse (appears to be a wiring problem - I've replaced the switch) Broken Speedo Cable (I have a replacement but it needs to be installed) Front Transmission Seal Leak Cracked Passenger Side Tail Light (I have a replacement but it needs to be installed) Damaged and cracked front air dam Damage to passenger side front quarter panel I was hoping to get $4,000 for the car. Let me know if you're interested and I'll take pictures. Please PM me if you have questions or if you're in LA and would like to come look at the car.
