  1. Condensed from a civic would be great as far as size goes but I don't think you have the capacity needed for an sq. We have a lot more area than it looks like and you need a healthy condensor to help pull that heat out. I would recommend something bigger than a quest and see if you can find the right outside dimensions. First thing that comes to mind is a jeep Cherokee. They were long and skinny and cooled off larger Interior space than we have.
  2. Well folks, its official. I will not be able to make it this year. We just bought a house and got a fair amount of remodeling to be done plus just lots of stuff that needs my attention. I've got some friends lined up to come and help being its the weekend of the 4th and basically its, the party is at my house in exchange for all the help. Great for getting things done, but sucks for me getting to p.f. Y'all have fun and be sure to take lots of pictures for me. I will see y'all next year.
  3. That's most likely FROs house. He's got a collection.
  4. Mines is named itch spelled with a B in front of it. Mostly because while I was building the mpi, it broke on me lots of times and the first words out of my mouth were usually, you b. Itch
  5. I'm not familiar with these tab bonded failures, and adding fans to TV,s. Tell me more about it, please.
  6. Happy bday man. Next time your on the east side get w me. I still plan to make a trip to your side of things but life keeps putting me off.
  7. Glad to see you back Steven. Call in dead and come to p.f. been a long time since we've seen you.
  8. Nope, can't drill it. When you look thru the inside you can tell its not something you need to do.
  9. Hey will, I just saw this. Go for megasquirt. I'm running it and love it. Nothing like it all was 10 yes ago. You coming to p.f. this year? And are you bringing your son?
  10. I've been running these type valves for IAC. Problem I've found is that the valve generally takes a 1/8npt fitting. Most times this size valve has a 1/16 orifice and its not enough to allow enough air to raise the rpm by more then maybe 100-200 rpm. I found that I wanted closer to 250-300 rpm increase so I added a second valve giving the effect of having a 1/8 orifice. Sure this can be achieved by simply using a valave with a larger orifice to begin with. However this made me think about running two or three valaves and having them open until x temp then closing one valve, at a few more degrees it closes another and lowers the rpm some more. Trouble is that I haven't found a way to control multiple valves in this manor. Anyone know how to do this?
  11. I wish I could find another pre 86 4x4. Seems they were only made like 83 84 85 or something like that and must not have been a whole lot of them made. Every one I find is rusted to the FUBAR level.
  12. Well, I'm sort of in the same boat. Sold the house, paid off the bills and looking for a new house. Turns out tougher than I thought.
  13. Welcome iott. I'm in ga also but well on the other side of Cummings, near 85 and 316 not far from Athens. Tim, you know you've still got to come to p.f.. Iott, be sure to check I to p.f. 14 we would love to have you there.
  14. Not a loser. Busy as holy hell. Working 6 days a week, and trying to buy a house, plus a wife......... I'm surprised my brain works at all. If you end up back in Atlanta for any reason let me know.
  15. I didn't realize you guys were actually from Scotland. Ken, starfighterpilot may have pics. I know he bought his new back in the day.
  16. Yes mikie you are a turd. Should a hit me up. I'm closer to it than Braden. I forgot all about it. Would have loved to been there.
  17. As in mercury Capri's? If so- you talk like we lost some nice cars.
  18. I had one of those fans that was sooooo close to hovering. It was friggen amazing. I built several stock mounting fans using other motors years ago. For those that remember my Atlantic blue quest it ran the 16" a/c fan from a dodge Dakota. Worked great but I think I like dual fans better. I also did several from Taurus motors and the worked great also. The ones I'm running right now are from a dodge caravan
  19. I will add to the picture. I've got about 500 burnt CD's. I used to borrow all my buddies disc long enough to throw them into music match jukebox and make a digital copy then burn myself a disc. Did this for years and got a stack of all sorts of crap on CDR. I recently bought a new head unit that had a USB port on it. I copied the burnt stuff over to a 16gig jump drive and I've got enough music to listen to for weeks and not get bored. New head unit doesn't even have a disc drive in it. Just am FM USB and aux in from a device. Even CDs are becoming a thing of the past. Head unit I bought from amazon for like 25.00, not a ton of features but hey its25.00 . the last CD player I bought of a comparable quality was about 150.00 .
  20. Move to the backside of a remote mountain. Teach them to hunt and forget the internet exist. If you are far enough away from civilization you might have a chance. Otherwise if they are in public schools, chances are you are already too late. All you can really do is teach them right from wrong and try to steer them the right way and hope and pray they make good choices. Talk about getting blindsided, my 13 yr old stepson told us over dinner that one of his best friends is bisexual. I really don't remember eating my food after that one. At 13 I barely knew what sex was and certainly didn't know what bisexual meant let alone anyone who claimed to be.
  21. Braden, I've been running a old style one wire gm for years. Since back in the days of my Atlantic blue quest. The older gm apt was on like a 70ish up till mid to late 80's- everything that had a carbonated 350 in it. There is 2 different models of the older ones,The 10si which is like 70 amps and the 12si which is 94 amps. I run the 12si model. The main charge wire to the battery and one of the other wires just to excie thevoltage regulator is all that's needed. I don't remember exactly which wire is what but I can take a look at my car and tell you. Let me know and I will be glad to.
  22. I still don't know where the tri city's are.
  23. I've been using a lot of sunex and g.p.(Grey pneumatic). We've got an independent tool truck guy in the area that sells them. He had nice sets but I was worried about the quality as the do say made in China. He told me to take them and use them for a month and if I wasn't happy I didn't owe him for them. Couldn't pass that up. Had one set for about 10 years and haven't broken one yet. I bought damn near all my socket sets after that in sunex brand. Only downside is they are black impact sockets and slightly harder to see if you drop it compared to chrome. Ironically you would be surprised how similar tractors are to cars and trucks. Still got sensors, modules, wiring harnesses, and dashboards. Fuel injection is very similar to GDI cars nowadays and the computer stuff is a bit different but relatively the same. I use a c.a.n. j1939 computer system instead of o.b.d. but its really all the same.
