So i went ahead and unplugged the boost gauge and the vac line to the hvac. Smell gone. So, bad PVC? or separator? Thanks
-
Oh yeah, it stinks. Hell, its getting so bad I don't want to get into boost! :eek1bluegreen: The rubber boot you describe is in place and there currently is no BOV on the car. I recently replaced the muffler and a cracked manifold, hoping that was the issue but no. I have a flex section in the downpipe, that I might suspect and perhaps the cat is an issue. But really, this got REAL bad after installing the boost gauge.

Yep, Vents are hooked and they work, although the side vents with the fresh air dont seal off completely.

All, i just recently install a boost gauge in my car, and ran a vacuum line into the cabin. Now,, when the car is making boost, i get a nasty fuel smell in the car. I have no fuel leaks in the engine bay, and this isn't a smell of raw fuel but more like a really rich exhaust. I have the boost gauge on the third top port, but moved it down to the lower one to see if any better. Only slightly, any help appreciated.

I cant say good enough things about my dealing with TM. The guy went way out of his way to help me out, and sold me an amp for a 1g stereo, when he didnt even post one for sale. Thanks TM, much appreciated.

I emailed them and got the same link. So, going to be taking the turbo there for assembly and balancing.

19c Compressor Wheel needed, or a source to buy one. Thanks
-
Cool, thanks. Ill be looking for them then. I best pull the other 3 wheels and look to see if I need any other.
-
Are they needed? I kinda feel they don't, but wanna throw it out here. The reason I am asking is i picked up another conquest, and the front drivers side brakes were squeaking while driving but stopped when i applied the brakes. After letting off the brakes it starts again. So i pulled it apart and its missing a couple retainers. Should I just pull the rest out, or find retainers? Thanks

Thanks Mike, I'll be testing the wires this weekend. I did have the alternator checked, and it checked good. I haven't looked under the dash yet either, but it pretty obvious someone hacked it up. But the only thing that doesn't work in the car is the cruise, and the rear defrost. Both of those have issues that cause them not to work, but otherwise everything in the car works.
-
Thanks mstieg, I'll look into that a bit. However, I would still consider a 1g as well, because I like the stock look.

Dcrasta, the lights to dim a bit at idle with everything loaded up in the morn when its dark. But i have seen the volt gauge drop below 12 on my other car, but not this one. All indications are that everything is working correctly. The alt is keeping the battery charged fine. Your theory about amps is good however. Say the alt is putting out 14volts at speed, but not the 65 amps? Hummm

Wanted 1g stereo with working CD. Something that looks stock that will work with steering wheel controls.

All, I just got my yellow car together and have been driving in daily for a week now. In all its good with a few issues, but the one that is bothering me is the battery indicator light on the dash is always on to some degree. Its bright at idle but dims with rpms. Yeah, I know it sounds like a bad alternator, but the voltage gauge always shows 12volts or greater, usually around 14. When I got the car, it was apparent that someone had been working under the dash, so maybe a loose ground, but I thought I might throw it out here and see what others think. Thanks

I'm running one. Its very much worth the money. Turbonetics made them but no longer sells them. http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3125/2338486387_dbc556986d_o.jpg
