NOT POWERFUL ENOUGH TO LOOSEN THE BOLT

Battery dead-not running for 4 years-replacing head 2 days ago. Didn't want to damage engine. Now know it's not frozen up. Thought putting in gear would hold engine to remove damper bolt.

89 Conquest TSI-removing head, timing cover, water pump, etc., but unable to loosen the damper bolt In either direction. Trying to verify it is a left-hand thread and comes off clockwise. Belts & everything removed but engine rotates even in gear. Need assistance & solution for removal. Is the complete center console where the sterio and EQ go and shifter section complete and available. Not cracked or damaged-will repaint. Black-on Black 89 Conquest TSI located in Fairfield, Maine. Recently moved from RI after retireing from 30 years military service.

Thanks-Appreciated. I loved my 63 split-window Corvette Coupe, but my 89 Conquest Tsi holds it's own and is more rare.

Been a member since 15 Mar. 2006. Previous membership is Portsmouth-Patriot. Completed 30-years of military service (Air Force / Navy) and have retired back home in Fairfield, Maine. My e-mails, phone numbers, address, and Conquest TSI have all changed so I have established a new membership I.D. The name Majestic1 is the name of my beautiful AKC Tri-Color Mini-Sheltie. Loves riding shot-gun in the Conquest TSI. I have owned 4 TSI's and presently have a Black-on-Black 89 which I plan on keeping and is going to go through a restoration process including color unless someone has a Fiji Blue for trade wanting a black one. I will be adding more pictures at a later date, files are to large right now. Also looking for club members in Maine & New Hampshire, as well as parts, engines, conversions, possibly another TSI for mods and drag racing. My present 89 is quite clean as TSI's go, no rust and in decent shape. Kept my 83 hood and will be installing a new Marnel head when DAD is finished with it. Looking for a MPI set-up and either a 6G72TT engine or a 63GBT for a conversion. Glad to be back active with the club and will be pestering everyone for mod's and update info. Keep those Conquest TSI's and Starions rolling.

Need a Fuel/Gas Door assy- BLACK (Preferrably) -EXTERIOR -89 TSI -Hopefully does not need painting. Mine got hit by a backhoe bucket, only damaged the exterior fuel door.
