Nope still no snow up here and its still in the 60's regularly too lol. The car is put away from the "winter" season though as several things need to be fixed or replaced on it and those things won't be getting stock replacement parts and I don't have the funds to buy everything needed to complete those things yet.
I'm sick of replacing my brake booster and having a leaky clutch system so that whole thing is getting a BIG upgrade. More info on that later.
Just delete it lol I am

Started back on this since its not in the 100s any more
-
Yanked my brake booster and test fit it today. I can cut an angle off the rear of the plenum but I would rather just delete the booster lol. Ill start welding it up and move to injector bungs and a rail
-
Pulled my box of parts down off the rack. Time to finish my intake manifold and some random piece of trade work for Skullz
-
Well its finally cooling off here in AZ so I will get back to messing with the buckets
-
Wish we could have pretty manifolds like that.
We have options

Welcome! Phoenix resident here!

Should have GTX3071 results soon
-
I think my next turbo will be a GTX3071
or possibly a GTX2867. The 60-1 I have
pulls like a reight train. Maybe it is the tune
But building boost seems to take a long
Time with the turbonetics turbo I have.
The 18G TD06 was insane miss it terribly.
I think the GTX3071 will be ideal. The 28 wheel is a bit to small for the 2.6. Love it on 1.8-2.0

1.8T or what engine?
-
That looks like an octopus LOL. Top quality product for a reasonable price. Not many places offer custom designed and hand made headers for less than 1000.00
Thanks man

Looks great. Let me know if you need help elimination some of those couplers. You really only need 2 per side

Hey guys, so I got my car finished and I drove it roughly 400 miles this weekend. I cannot give you dyno numbers, but what I can tell you is that seat of the pants the car feels faster even out of boost. Its more readily revving and its improved my low end power a bit. Also a more definitive bit of data, my A/F ratios are leaner which means I need to add some more fuel. Definitely a good sign : )
Any installed shots of everything on the car?

You can pick up 20-50whp. Below is a 3rd party dyno from one of our VW customers

So we decided to go back to the dyno this past weekend since we got the JDL manifold/dp combo in. I could already tell a difference up top and it took a week or so of working with Kblack to get the fueling added in the file, the first good sign http://www.vwvortex.com/Anthony/Smilies/thumbup.gif
I will add that when I looked back at the logs from my first dyno from above I was actually seeing 18psi up top instead of the 16 it was set for. So we duplicated those settings to make sure it was fair.
I'll let the numbers talk, no change in boost or timing, still on good ol 93, no meth yet
Blue is ATP log manifold heavily ported
Green is JDL tubular manifold

I used to run 22psi on a 20G until the clutch started slipping

Very nice Ronnie, what robot does your welding?
Thanks! We have 4 amazing humans

Been pretty busy with work and life so I haven't posted too much here or touched my car. Im in the middle of looking for a bigger house as we have another baby on the way etc. With that my cars are on the back burned until I get settled. Anyway I thought I would share the latest twin scroll manifold to soon be on another StarQuest. Just need to port this and it will be on its way.
Enjoy

Ive had mine on the car running boost up to 30psi. Seem to be working great. I want to get to a dyno to show gains over the smb
Post it once you get it on the dyno!
