  1. I saw this dude on a jap sit who mounted 2 12's facing in on the back of the rear seats. He had some pics of the steps, very sharp.
  2. I beleive this has been tried before,I think it would be bad if you work it out. I think it can be done, post the schematics if you can i'm intreged.
  3. Replace them with LEDs,you can get them at radio shack and solder hem in.
  4. Yes it is possibly,You have to be able to disassemble the face and de-solder the original leds and solder in the new ones. It takes time and patience and some electronic skill. I believe a few people have done that here.
  5. I was attempting that with interior peciecs, not easy, keep trying.
  6. There is a company in Australia that makes a rear wing like the stock, but like 3 inches higher and at a different angle. Maybe it was coltspeed.I will have to look for it again.
  7. APC has it. APC bought out Grant about 1 1/2 ago.
  8. It's bolt in,but you can weld it. There bars fit but the rear bars go on the side of the rear seats between the top and bottom side leather interior peice. If you have no rear interior you won't have problems fittting it. It does look nice with the interior fit around the rear bars though.
  9. That's right.people thought I was dum making small detail type parts, any R&D you put in is good. There is some haters here, but alot of them have been there and done that. They just come off like haters.I would like to check that out when we hook up. Asking Qs around here will help you out thou,we are a starquest community. At least thats why I joined to help and get helped.Keep up the good work.
  10. slicks will really help if your going the 1/4 mile route, good clutch and lots of practice will also be a priority.
  11. I believe the front offset is 18 and the rear is -10 for the 7s and 8s.Thats what it says in my manual.I have been told that 225 front and 245 rear were the bigest you could fit.I know that BBS and Enkie have those offsets for a few wheels.
  12. I saw that same interior on a late model 85 flatty at a junkyard in tollamd ct.the owner had just droped it off when I was there. He smaked up the front end and raped a 87 and put a beat up widebody front, then he beat it until the engine was knocking like hell.Damn shame they crushed it.
  13. Great Job,Thanks for the rundown too.Clean/good looking body mods are priceless when you do them yourself.
  14. I e-mail H&R a while back and they assured me they are not in production. They beleive some places still may have them in stock, but not many places ordered these springs in bulk.Good Luck
  15. JBL and Audiobahn are some nice highquality stuff.
  16. I think the engine vibration and the weight of the sender played a big role in it breaking. You should make a small bracket from the base plate to the sender to support it.It just may save you a fire, think about, does it make sence? Good luck tho, I don't wish bleeding motor to anyone.
  17. Colt Speed makes kits for the flatsider.I think there in Austraila. They have a website.
  18. Damn Right those brass fittins suck.I just had my metric to standard 1/8npt fitting for the sender to my autometer oil press gauge break in half while I was driving my quest on christmas eve.Oil all over the place, the other half of the fitting is stuck in my oiler.Yes it really sucks.
  19. They actually sell alloy rim paint in chain stores like auto zone.I have used it on some parts and they came out good. It's chemical resistant ,thick, strong.
  20. I have the gr-2s with the ST springs, thats probaly why I think they are stiffer. My 86 had some standard tokico struts (not the HPs) and I was saying they are stiffer than those. They are good on the street due to the valving.
  21. You wire the temp switch to ground a realy ,rewire power for fan to relay, use the origunal fan power to turn on the relay. There you go your fans get more power/run better and you could also hook up a light so you know when the fans kick in.Don't hack it up,you want your fans to work, starquests don't like overheating. You should still test the fan switches first,if they don't work the friendly mitsubishi dealer has them.
  22. It's like a universal joint in between the steering box and the fire wall,It's part of the colum, look under the master cylinder, you'll see it. Be safe bad brakes could be a bad thing when you need to stop.ya dig.
  23. yeah, make sure you check all parts to the brake system, hoses too.Try haveing someone pump the brakes with the car off and look all over for anyleaks, make sure it's clean first.
  24. ok, so if all the functions work on the timer what is your problem? Those wires could be for connecting on a different car. Some turbo timers also have a relay to work with aftermarket alarms. If it's all working then you should be all set, also if the timer has a boost alarm those wires could be for map sensor.Starquests don't have those, early models had boost a boost sensor on firewall above brake booster.
  25. Did you hoop the wire up to the e-brake.If you have a manual trani there's a wire for the hand brake,so it doesn't run in case it's in gear it won't activate unless the e-brake is on.
