mine was missing the ac stuff no abs factory but does have a lsd rear factory and it did have cruise control tell the damn thing wouldn't turn off. it also had no cats *DM 2.5 exhaust and a fidenza flywheel and abunch of rus. mine also has a different interrior then most 83's which seems lighter then the other seats. but my cars a freak of natural

ken i have weighted my car at that VA meet on there nhra cert scale. my 83 was 2890 with me at 215 and alittle over 1/2 a tank of fuel the spare tire and some other spare parts in the back

i wouldn't use the tack cloths they never seemed to clean everything for me and were just a pain in the butt. a good rag and some DuPont 3970 or 3990 always got a clean surface

that stuff to make it stick is called primer which i dont think they used with the repaint

can i ask why you think you need to run a 1g mas on your 83?

the car does sound pretty good and it was very entertaining peeling the paint off your spoiler in scotty's driveway. i wonder if he noticed all the paint chips?

ever seen union pipe fitters they work 2 hours and do nothing the rest of the day and in that 2 hours they just screw everything up. when i did sewer work in DC i spent 90 percent of my time trying to fix union workers screw ups. Dont even get me started about trying to get a better crew in since the union has the fat lazy screw ups butts covered. hell it would be nice to run around a unairconditioned plant. instead of running around near or in a sewer in 90 degree and 90 percent humidity days or 20 degree days trying to dodge DC rush hour traffic as i'm sitting in the middle of the road all day trying to fix union workers screw ups since they left for lunch at 11am and i'm still sitting there at 9pm wondering how lunch or dinner would of tasted. how about union plumbers that cant even glue a pvc pipe togather right and flood the lower floor of a apartment building. think that guy lost his job nope he got a pat on the back and kept his job. i watched union brick layers build a wall mart 3 times since the walls fell down 3 times because they weren't smart enough to brace them in a high wind area and yes it was the same people that put it up 3 times. or how about there boss that called and said i wasn't cleaning there portable toilet. you want to know why? he didn't know that water froze at 32 degrees and it was in the teens for over a week. so i know how unions work. there just around now to cover the butts of lazy no skilled workers that cant do there jobs right for the most part.

most of the time management has no say in anything the union just says if you dont give us this we will strike.

might of got a bad batch would be my guess. we had a old 77 f250 setting on 39.5 swampers that seen off and on road duty every week and the rancho's where atleast 5 years old on that truck and they where still like new. i'd try a new set of what you got for the lift and see what happens but if there not to bad and your putting the lift in before the warranty is up i'd wait to put them in with the lift

ok so you got shocks for a 2-3in lift and put them on without having the lift in yet? if you did that you probably bottomed them out and bent them so they blew. if you have the lift in with them then i'd be calling some one i've seen rancho's go threw some nasty bumps for years without having issue's.

i know i'm just saying if you ask for these cars that part number wont even come up in there system tried from 83 to 89 starion and 84 to 89 conquest but that part number never came up. put the part number is in the system on the web. also if you run that part number it says it wont fit are cars be i know different.

note to everyone advance auto parts and autozone are complete morons so get the number on that box 12031 write it down and take it with you or you wont get the adaptor plate spent 2 days going around in circles with them trying to explain it to them.

car wont idle warm or cold. plus my wifes been driving it and said it was surging tell she turned the OD off

ok got the tranny at the normal mark and a new o2 sensor cars still running the same very sluggish taking off. could the isc be going? also still no over drive but the button on the shifter and the light on the dash are working. any idea's on that?

with 2 gutted precats first one broke and the 2nd one with no cracks the car runs the same. i know this turbo and it's spooling way faster then it did on my 83. so thats making me think the cats clogged.

waste gates working fine. i went to gut the precat saturday and found out it had already been done but noticed the cat was broke clean around the top weld. i replaced that with another gutted one i had laying around. going to gut the secondary this weekend and see if that helps any.

just put a new cap rotor and plug wires on it and gutted the the 1st cat. no difference after 150 miles the od tried working once on my way home from work and hasn't tried since. also jsut checked the tranny fluid again and it's over filled so i got to drain some of that out. would that cause a OD problem and maybe the sluggush feel?
