Komeuppance PM'd me and said search words have to be 4 letters or more. Hopefully that helps anyone with the same problem I was having.

I wanted to add .... I tired it upper and lower case, quotes and no quotes, and titles only checked and unchecked. Nothing. Somebody else try it and tell me what you get.

Today was I searching for a thread I knew I read in the FAQ on ARP head studs. So, I went to the advanced search button and typed in arp/ checked "search titles only" / and selected the FAQ forum. The search revealed nothing. Yet, when I manually went to the second page there is was. What the heck? Does our search only search exact phrases? For instance, the real title of the thread is: valve cover hitting arp head studs? Do I need the WHOLE exact title? If so, I've never encountered a search feature like that before. From my understanding of search Boolean, I should be able to type ARP and get all the thread titles w/ ARP in them in the FAQ forum. I've had trouble finding things I've read previously before using the search button on this site and it's getting under my skin .... lol. Any help from admin?

I know DAD sells these and I've seen them on eBay for about 70 bucks, just figured I'd see if anyone has an extra set laying around for a little cheaper before I start my rebuild. Let me know. Thanks.

One guy asked me if it was a Supra, I got that one once at a gas station already too. 2 others guys told me that they hadn't seen a Quest in 20 years. Guess they can't say that anymore. BTW Boosted, love those wheels.

So, the local DQ was having a cruise show tonight, $1 to get in. So, I figured what the heck I'll take the Quest for fun. Mind you, it's been under a cover all winter, outside, totally filthy b/c I haven't washed it yet, and the engine bay is a disaster area from P/O, (which I plan to clean up and paint and all that when I pull the motor for rebuild this year) .... and this car got TONS of attention. I had 5 guys around the thing before I was even all the way backed in. One my buddies even commented that he should have left his Mustang at home. I had to laugh, I've been to 100's of shows w/ my Eclipse and run the one below in my sig, and I got more attention w/ my dirty Quest tonight than ever .... Moral of the story: Glad I bought this car.

I agree that it's an 89. But just to be clear, my 88 brochure has OTS seatbelts listed as a dealer option. I'd have to look to get the page number, but it's there. I don't know about 87's and down, but def an upgrade option in 88.

I'm the head of the organization that puts on that show, so I have all the registration slips from the last 5 years in my basement. What do they drive? I'll check. I remember I posted up here last year about the show really late and you said you had family in the area and maybe would have attended w/ more advanced notice..... Me and several of my friends will be at the Sonic meet on May 1st. Troll, who owns TST is a friend of mine, we will be there promoting our show (see signature below). But, I probably won't be driving the Quest b/c I plan to have the motor out by then. I'll most likely be in my Eclipse. It is always like a mob scene at this thing, but if someone hands you a postcard that looks like the image below, introduce yourself, it's probably me! I'll keep my eye out for Quests. BTW - I was thinking about organizing a SQ meet sometime this summer over at Nockamickon State park. I'd like to meet some local Quest people since I'm new to the seen. We used to do DSM meets there years ago by the bay and it was beautiful. Any interest in that?

Now that the weather is finally getting warmer here in PA I'm looking to pull my motor in the next month or so and do a mild rebuild just to clean it up and freshin it up. So, I've been looking at the gasket sets on Dad's site. I'm looking at the balance shaft elimination kit, upper gasket set, and lower gasket set. Is this a/c switch w/ the fine threads found on both autos and manuals? Just curious b/c I see there is a difference in some of these 3 sensors between autos and manuals.
