Strut spacer for rear

It is actually the same as factory height because you are also using original springs. -

Here's how it sits after the new struts with 19"s. -

Yes, I wound up using the original housing with a MR2 front insert. It requires a piece of tubing to make up for the shorter insert. I just cut a piece of pipe and dropped it in, then the insert in and welded the gland nut to the housing. My threads were bad after getting the thing open. -
Ok thanks I’m going to try them RC Engineering.

Hey guys are you cleaning stock injectors or replacing with aftermarket. Mine are leaking, rough idle and bucking at high rpm. Can you recommend someone? Thanks Greg

Im about finished with them, this is exactly what I did. I got a piece of the old strut insert tube bottom and dropped it in the bottom after measuring of the original housing then inserted the MR 2 front strut and welded the gland nut to the housing. You have to add tubing to the Mookeh housing it’s too short, strut doesn’t make up the difference if you want to use stock height springs. Good luck finding a longer strut insert that has the correct body length. All the specs are barely publishes for strut inserts.

Exactly, I’m experiencing chips from rocks. I think a wrap preserves what’s underneath also and can be replaced when tired of the color.

I’m not trying to be nosy but about what does a wrap cost like this? Or is it paint? Thanks

Did you sell Mitsubishi badges? Thanks

Does anyone here know of a strut insert that would give the correct height similar to factory. I am using a recommended Toyota MR2 front insert and it’s way too short to use a factory coil spring. I am try to put off expensive coil overs. Propose101 says you can use longer inserts but doesn’t tell you what works. See below for differences. Any help with this would be much appreciated, I have the car tore down currently. I was supposed to go to the NSRA Springfield event but this happened, I think if you are going to sell a product you should list what works and what ride height would be achieved. I will possibly create my own after this debacle.

Congrats that's awesome! I was in the same boat, I seen them on the road in the 80's and thought that's the start of the pro touring look! I had to have one so I went to the dealer and test drove one, it was $21,000 in 1988! I passed and bought a rust free Texas car. I wanted to ask how the coilovers ride, I want stock height but a good ride. Thanks and enjoy great looking ride. Welcome home! Greg

Strut spacer for rear

No specs, this started when I purchased the Mookeh empty rear housings. It says to use the MR2 front inserts. The problem is they are almost 2 inches shorter so the factory coil spring will not fit. I do not want to lower the vehicle from factory. I am trying a longer rod length from a different vehicle to get a longer overall insert. The body has to remain the same length to fit Mookeh housing which is 13.125”, the piston length must be longer to accept oem spring. -
Has anyone ever used these on their rear struts? I have the Mookeh housings with the MR 2 strut inserts and they are about 1.75 inches too short. The spacers would raise it about 2 inches. I’m just not sure if they would fit the top of the str

Power steering hose on right frame rail
Gregster1234 replied to Gregster1234's topic in Virtual Mechanic
Thanks so much, I didn't want to cut if it was pressurized. -
Power steering hose on right frame rail, covered in a rubber sleeve and clamps at the front towards radiator. It has a high pressure end at a bracket bolted to frame. My question is is this line under high pressure because it has a clamp. I would like to replace only the rubber portion with bulk p/s hose and clamps. Would this be okay? I already replaced the high pressure p/s line that has pressure fittings. Below is the replacement and it is clamped at both ends on the right frame rail side. Thanks Greg

The louvers on your car looks great, I had them on my red car and took them off. I just purchased the upgrade kit for the TPS which uses the new Mazda TPS and an adapter plate. Does anyone know about a replacement for the ICS? I think mine is bad.
