serpentkilla Posted September 25, 2012 Author Report Share Posted September 25, 2012 Ok i was super busy last week and this weekend trying to get this thing running for ocean city next week. I pulled the head of the car because my compression results on cylinders 5 and 6 was not that good and power was falling of big time. It seemed like i was stuck at 11.2 or 11.3 @ 133 no matter how i drove. All of exhaust seats were done and the valves were beat to s***, im shocked the car ran as well as it did still. The seat pressure on the valve springs were around 44lbs and i need around 90lbs. So i got some new valves, bc springs and retainers and got the cam shimmed properly. I dumped the borg warner for a precision 6766. The car feels allot faster it runs 20 times better and for some reason allot louder :-) it sounds like a v8.
