charlie31603
Ok. We need details man! Like turbo and stuff. I'm getting ready to do my mpi and 18g here soon. And I can only hope it's that good. Adam :-)
88TSI_Rob
You can't be upset with that! Nice work.
charlie31603
Allright. You got a tad more mods than I do. lol. I wonder how that thing pulls though going down the road. Must be fun. Are you all done tunning. Or are you going to get some more out of that thing. Adam :-)
conquestpa
What Fuel pump and pressure are you running? How is your ignition timing setup? I wonder how much your intercooler helps.
kev_rm
walbro 255, 36psi base, msd-2222 regulator (1:1 BCFPR) I'll post my timing tables today at some point in that earlier megasquirt tables thread. It's tuned as much as possible for power, bleeding edge of timing and boost running around 12.5:1 AFR. I'll be tuning other areas for streetability, mainly acceleration bins and timing. I may also be investigating nitrous and/or water injection for grins, but I really want to move on to the other neglected areas of the car, wheels, tires, suspension, brakes, and interior
Pr4mnceMan
Nice work!!! I just got mine up and running last night with the new ported head. I'm also running Chads intake and 75lb injectors. I made 294rwhp and 332 or 342rwtq @ 15psi with a blown headgasket @ 2 & 3. I now have the ported head and the resurfaced block and head so it will seal this time and will be back on the dyno aiming for atleast 20psi on pump and atleast 350 at the wheels! The green was a sweet turbo for my dsm, I'd like to feel it on a starquest. My best and consistent times were 7.3@97 1/8 and 11.6@120 in the 1/4. That turbo usually doesn't die off like that on the other side of the track but it was shot and when I got into 4th the wheel would have big load on it and gaul up the housing and slow me down. Unfortunately after I had it "built" I sold it and parted the car. I wish I woudl've run it in the 1/4 when it was newer!
jr_ss
Kev, what cam are you running, hydro or mech, what lift/duration? Stock manifold modified for Eclipse turbo or new tubular or log style manifold? Internal or external wastegate? Just some things I'd like to know.. kev_rm
mech *DM cam, don't know the specs. shawn silva tubular header (note: Turbo is NOT a DSM, the starion exhaust housing bored out for TD06H, starion cartridge with td06 shaft) Internal wastegate, which is highly borderline, I did have boost creep but it seems to have subsided. jinx
U run 12° timing at full boost?I'd try to get the most from that turbo before playing with nitros. Or even water/aly to max out pump gas numbers.must be a blast to drive. Very nice effort!

eeaston
Very nice!!! You hold the "most power from a megasquirted 'quest" title, those numbers are absolutely great! BTW, you should post this on the MSEFI site success stories, that's a lot of power from a 4-banger!

Funky Phil
Very nice, Its nice to see a graph pulling past 6K! When I get Mine done I want it pulling over 300whp @ 6500rpm. By the way, Ive never seen a Megasquirt make power like that, I didnt think it would do it. Thanks for proving me wrong! Oh yeah, what Octane was that on? kev_rm
heef - compression ratio is around 9:1, flat top custom wisecos, never measured it. near zero deck height. Wish I would have gone with dish, 8:1, think I could easily break 350 on pump gas with this turbo and lower CR. Phinko- octane is 92. Get a non-magna intake, porting, header, and big cam if you want to make power up in the high-rpm range. The rev limiter on the MS is the only thing keeping my motor together, it revs to the moon.
88whitestarion
I'm amazed you can get run 92 octane with 19lbs of boost and 9:1 compression. What is your full boost timing set at? Dave
