varzaman
Haven't worked on my car in a while. Finally got back into the groove. I have to replace my steering box, it is leaking like crazy, so my next project is taking it out. While it is out, just wanted to ask, what else should I do before putting the steering box back in? psu_Crash
Steering coupler is a great call! I would recommend changing out the power steering hard lines for a braided variant too. You are about to find out why 😉 Although don't know where you would get a pre-made set now a days. I bet a local hydraulic shop could hook you up. As for the box, are you just planning to re-seal it? Is it still pretty tight? may be a good time to think about sending it off for a rebuild if it has slop in it.

Haha, I remember you mentioning this when I asked where to send my steering box last year. Even without the leaking, there was plenty of slop so I was going to get the box rebuilt. Will call some local hydraulic shops to see if any of them can make me power steering lines. If anyone knows of good places in the Pittsburgh area, lmk.
