Rev383
Okay so I've been putting miles on my Conquest it just started bucking when the car gets warm the secondary fan does not come on but the car doesn't go past half way and i'm not sure if the temp gauge is right. The radiator is upgraded with a thick aluminum radiator but you can't put your hand on it. If i can get pointed in the right direction that could help me , I've got a fuel filter on order i may swap the fuel pump my thoughts is maybe the pump is getting hot and fuel pressure is dipping. Car is on stock boost pressure 7 pounds. it only does it under full boost. Edited May 1 by Rev383
1SICDSM
check spark plugs could be putting the spark out with the boost.check fuel pressure as well.
Rev383
I gapped the plugs to .035 I’m wondering if I need to go lower to like a .028 I had a eagle talon that loved that gap
psu_Crash
The stock gauge is just a guide line. But if it isn't going high, you're probably fine. There are 2 thermoswitches on the bottom of the radiator for the fans. You can ground the wire there to test the fan operation. The sensor can be tested with a meter and boiling water if you want to take it out and make sure it works. At 7psi boost should not be an issue. Have you verified the vacuum and mechanical timing advance is working?
Rev383
I regapped the plugs to 0.28 and burped the coolant system. So far fingers crossed no bucking at all. The plugs were a touch on the lean side but not too bad to worry. I will check the timing when I find my timing light. My car has a aftermarket radiator system in it
psu_Crash
Sounds like your coil may be getting weak.
