LS_Quest
Hello, Everyone! It's been a few years (6-7) since I've owned a Conquest. The previous Conquests (2) never ran during the time that I owned them. Recently found a running and driving 1989 Conquest in NJ. Couldn't pass it up! However, I'm Currently in the middle of gathering parts for another project and trying to buy a house, so my short-term plans are to just daily the car as is and try to make it to the new year with minimum repairs. It's okay to laugh; I'm laughing with you! lol. Stock drivetrain? 134,000+ miles? Never make it to January! lol! I will be in the Parts Needed section trying to acquire stuff that will eventually be required to bring this beauty from it's current state to equal my vision. I'll post a Needs List at some point, once I get a good ideas of what exactly I'll be needing. For the most part, the car seems to be relatively stock and rust free. It's an SHP car with the original adjustable struts at all 4 corners, Correct wheel sizes to match, which also match the tire sticker in the door jam. It also has the correct tires mounted, but the fronts are 20 yo and the rear are 10 yo. Unfortunately, at some point, it was rear-ended. Both quarters were repaired by a less than talented body repair person. The hatch doesn't fit, open, or close correctly. the wheel well is a little crinkled. Maybe someone recognizes this car by the description? Anyhow... Glad to be back! Previous Username was R-R-Quest.
