Picked up this rust free 87 off the local Craigslist in March

Interior is worn out, I plan to gut the rear and only leave what is necessary in the front (maybe with a few creature comforts). It had no fuel tank and no spark when I got it, new knock box fixed the spark and I picked up a fuel tank last weekend so all I need is to plan my fuel system out and install it. I'm leaning towards doing a fG63 swap in it for the vast availability and low cost of performance parts for it. Not sure what transmission I would use, probably the rx7 transmission to keep the cost a bit lower. Gonna shoot fro around 350-400whp until I can upgrade to a 6 bolt rear.

Made a little progress Memorial Day Weekend in between helping my dad with his truck. Got all the brakes replaced except for the rear calipers. Removed the entire rear interior and found rust in the spare tire well.

I found the hatch seal is leaking so I have a tarp on it for now. Nothing a little POR couldn't fix.

I relocated the battery but haven't hooked it up yet because the PO ripped out the fusible link box and twisted the wries together. I'm going to convert it to a regular fuse box.

Next up is getting the fuel tank in. I have a Bosch 044 to install along with braided lines and AN fittings. Hope to fire it up soon and find out how the motor is. It has been sitting since 2005.

It might be a good idea to pull the plugs and squirt some Marvels mystery oil or ATF into the cylinders while you wait.

That's not a bad idea. I have cranked it so at least I know it's not locked up.

Been a while but finally got the Bosch 044 in and cranked it. Started up for the first time in 11 years (my guess). Sounded alright (couldn't really tell if anything was not as it should be because the downpipe has been cut off) but oil started squirting out of something near the trubo almost immediately so I shut it off. More to come soon hopefully.

Got a bunch done this weekend; ripped the old f'd up radiator out for a stock one I pulled from a yard and painted, ABS delete, EVAP delete, plug, wires, thermostat, belts hoses, new calipers, bled the brakes. Just cleaning things up and getting the basics done. Got braided coolant lines on the way as well as some anodizing paint I'm gonna try on the valve cover. Got a non-dickered ovcp to put on and a Mookeeh downpipe too (thanks Skullzaflare). Ordering D2s as soon as Niko gets back to me. This thing should be sitting pretty just in time for it's inaugural road trip.

Before: http://i1366.photobucket.com/albums/r767/colinturbo88/Mobile%20Uploads/20150807_174709_zpsh3axogw0.jpg

After: http://i1366.photobucket.com/albums/r767/colinturbo88/Mobile%20Uploads/20150808_153730_zps7voiplca.jpg

Still lots to do but I feel I'll get it done in time and have a sweet runaround for the remainder of the summer.
