BoostedStroker
Thanks! i just have to decide which one to order! I do like the TEP one better as well as its going to be better quality and dosent have a 1-2" spacer, $200 isnt a bad investment though for a mount as you can use whatever t3/t4 turbo on it. As far as turbo your thinking something with 55-60 trim compressor, 70-75 trim turbine and roughly .60-.70 A/r to reach my 300HP goal? I will be accquiring the mount and a adjustable FPR first, possibly a wideband setup sense the shortband i have is basically useless. I plan on doing the turbo in atleast the next month or two (when i get my vacation time). http://www.ebay.com/...ce87b2c&vxp=mtr Or this one.I like the TEP one better but lot more money. importwarrior
before you get that turbo be sure to read this post by Johny wadd http://www.starquestclub.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=143496 do this before you do anything else. this is possibly the biggest bottle neck in the cars flow. as far as turbos... Turbos are so varied in sizes it comes to a personal preference for the power you want.there are a lot of more knowledgeable members here wen it comes to picking out turbos. i know that the smaller the AR for the turbine the faster the spool. and it spools up lower in the RPM range.i have run the .48.63 .82 A/R on my current turbo.the .48 spools and could produce boost almost off idle like 15 to 2k RPM the .82 made boost at about 3.5 K plus or minus.the .63 to me is the best. runs like stock turbo boost.all the above were T3 turbines ford style to me my all time favorite turbo is the 18G TD06 in the stock conquest housings. it is a direct bolt on.best street turbo and can make 300 HP all day with proper supporting mods and a good tune. BUT with the t3 adapter Sky is the limit with turbo choices.my opinion is that GT3071 will meet your goala GT2871 has been a good choice as well
BoostedStroker
So after looking around it seems like the Evo 3 16g turbo is a viable option for what im looking for? Seems like it fits with a few minor modifications and can achieve 275-300rwhp with the right supporting mods without a problem. Any advice or input is greatly appreciated! aknorthstar
That TEP adapter sucks , they spot welded the studs inside the threads and they broke off when I removed my turbo. They refuse to warranty it .http://i1321.photobucket.com/albums/u546/cjhippie/20140813_150017_zpslxnev8ww1_zpslrztorfi.jpg Edited May 10, 2015 by aknorthstar

BoostedStroker
So this flange is what is used to bolt a DSM TD05 flange turbo to the stock manifold? I know there just a hair off from each other right? That other link would be a great alternative but its still pretty pricey for my application... http://www.ebay.com/...3ecfcd2&vxp=mtr
importwarrior
my TEP flange is used to bolt a T3 to the stock exhaust manifold.my turbo studs were not welded. the problem was they easily came outwith little effort and caused leaks. once i used loctite it was fine.
