My thermostat housing and thermostat are on their way, got my coolant temp sensor situation figured out. After work today (time can't go by quick enough!) I am building up the shortblock and possibly even getting the head and block back together and engine timed. Fingers crossed!

Parts came in from rock auto. Tierod ends were wrong. Of course. Got to ship them back and pick up the ones from advance auto today. Then put in my new centerlink.

Only got the shortblock back together last time, leaving in an hour to work on my engine again today. I have the whole afternoon and evening to get it done so the goal is get the head on, timing set installed and engine timed, cover put on, oil pan, etc installed, intake manifold on...Basically everything I can get to on the engine stand. May be able to squeeze the rear main seal in there too. Then it's just marrying the engine and trans and putting it all back in there.

are you keeping a/c?

Nah I am not, I bought one of the AC elimination brackets from Dad, just haven't figured out how it mounts up yet.

Yesterday went from shortblock in the car, to bare block on the stand. Everything came apart beautifully, should get away with a light deck, a hone, and a crank polish. Will be posting pics in the restoration center thread soon.
