1JZ-GTE swap in progress

my car sits so low, i was concerned about my oil pan, it sits just a tad lower than the cross member, not a big deal, but again, being the car is so low i was worried.. so we made a oil pan reinforcement plate for it, it should do the trick.

shifter was way way way to tall, so i made another top half of it.. turned out well.. also made a better temporary filter haha!

What do you plan on doing with the speedo? Using stock gauges? I got the tach to work with a Dakota digital adapter, but wondering if anyone has gotten the correct adapter for the speedo. Or at least close.

Please tell me about the tach adapter here? so others can use the info as well..

 

shim the inner cable on the drive gear end? i guess that makes sense since you can just pull the inner cable out..

hey screaming eagle, can you help me with the cable if I cant figure it out? i'll be getting my car back in about a week. finish up on a few things and get the tie rods done, and get it aligned.

to the best of my understanding me means shim the the end at the speedo gear? cut a small piece of a nail and put it down in there so the inner cable cant back out into the gear and fall out of the speedometer itself..

well we went out for a drive tonight, got a short video, then i believe either my clutch or pressure plate let go.. not sure.. anyway, click the link for the video

it pulls so hard at just 10 psi on these little twins.. ill get it apart soon and figure it out.. problem is i dont think i can get the tranny out with the engine in.. maybe i can push the engine forward a little and get the trans out..
