19cturbo Posted February 7, 2013 Author Report Share Posted February 7, 2013 worked like a charm, no cutting required, just bottle jack it side to side.. it took a while but worked great.. still had to use a big hammer in some areas but not near what it would have been.. i moved that tranny tunnel alot. when i first started, the jack was all the way down and it just had just enough room to squeeze in there.. Of course we had to put it at different angles to get what we wanted out of it. but i am very pleased, plenty of room in there now. and i also made room for the slave cylinder. i think its going to work out alright. 19cturbo Posted February 7, 2013 Author Report Share Posted February 7, 2013 its just a small bottle jack, not sure of the size.. it actually came off of a harbor freight press from the guys shop.. haha! This was rough measuring. im clear by a mile on the sides of the tranny, not sure how its going to work out on the top, or how close the top of the transmission sits the the top of the tunnel. I didnt have it bolted to the engine, i had the engine bolted in and pushed the tranny up to see where i needed to make room.. once i bolt it all together, and put it in for the final time, ill try to get more pics. 19cturbo Posted February 25, 2013 Author Report Share Posted February 25, 2013 well fun fun, my welder ran out of argon/carbon dioxide friday night.. no where in town to get the bottle filled on a saturday, so i only got to piddle on the car.. got the radiator mount tacked together, the lower part at least.. now i just have to finish that and mount the radiator in it.. and finish up the transmission mounts. that should pretty much be it, minus some wiring and ill be driving this turd again.
