Fuze
I recently got my formerly red Starion back from the body shop, I'll post some better pictures soon, but for now here are a few.John Deere Blitz Black paint, JD reducer and Valspar hardener. Carbon Fiber hood, header panel, headlight covers, airdam, hatch wing.. and muffler. http://waste-nj.com/d2/paint/fender.jpg http://waste-nj.com/d2/paint/grill.jpgI modified the front emblem using carbon vinyl... http://waste-nj.com/d2/paint/inter.jpg http://waste-nj.com/d2/paint/shels.jpg http://waste-nj.com/d2/paint/street.jpg http://waste-nj.com/d2/paint/bros.jpg Little bro is getting in on the fun now. Hard to see in this pic but the Starion is much wider than the Turbo-II. Cheers

Scotty Dont
Interesting, how hard is it to maintain that matte finish and does it get dirtier easier? I need to paint my black car cause it has spots all over the hood and roof, how much did it cost you?

Fuze
Looks great fuse. Really like the wheels. What brand are they again? I remember the thread when you restored them. Thanks dude. They are Riken meshies, 16x8/16x9 w/ 225 45 and 245 45 rubber. Interesting, how hard is it to maintain that matte finish and does it get dirtier easier? I need to paint my black car cause it has spots all over the hood and roof, how much did it cost you?The paint is easy to maintain, and it's tough. Doesn't hide dirt like a shiny finish does though. John Deere Blitz Black, I think it was $40 /gallon. looks "EVIL" i likey-----how much is that car lowered---gig outEvil is a good word for it, hahaha. It's dropped on D2's, there is a little tire tuck going on. Nothing scrubs unless I cut the wheels and go over a bump. Airdam is about 3-4 inches off the deck. noob87tsi
Don't mean to bump an old thread but does the car stil have this paint?
Fuze
Yes sir it does. After four years it has some patina now, and I need to re-clear the carbon hood after some of the clear began coming off in the high heat areas. The paint is still hard to scratch and tough as heck but like you see on old matte hot rods, it's developing some character at the edges, and some vertical rain lines. Not as shiny as before but that was kinda the point. If I scrub it with dish soap it brings it back to a darker shade of black, but I basically never wash it, just hose it off lol. Peace
