Thanks, quikconq. I did an ohm check on the injectors. Primary is reading about 5ohms but the secondary isn't reading anything. I'm just going to clean up the terminals and see if I can get any reading at all.

I've also been trying to get some error codes out of the ECU. Unfortunately the diagnosis terminal isn't really where it should be and it's had some of the cables snipped from the guy I got the loom and engine from.

The black/red wire is still connected up to the ECU at the correct port, but grounding that through an LED isn't creating any flashes etc.

Is there some clever guy who knows how I can go about extracting the error codes from the ECU without the usual terminal? Can I wire in to the ECU diagnosis port or do I need to gather other connections?

I'll grab a photo in a while!

Thanks guys!

EDIT: File attached. I've pulled the black/red wire out for ease of 'attaching'

So... after EVERYTHING... it runs soooo much better with the MAF unplugged....

Knackered MAF then? Going to give it a careful clean in the meantime. I remember reading on here somewhere that cleaning it is a delicate job. I'll find the thread again and follow it carefully :)

MOT tomorrow.
