  1. Before I start my restoration (or more accurately...while I'm saving up the capital to do so!) I'd like to try and find a manual for my Starion so I can do some studying. I've called around on it to all the local auto parts suppliers but nobody seems to carry one. I had absolutely no luck finding a Haynes manual. Judging from the Haynes site, they don't even print one. So instead, I tried calling around for a Chilton manual. I DID find one at NAPA, but it's for the Conquest. Before I go buying it, here's my question: I know that the Starion and Conquest are practically the same car, but since they apparently make this manual JUST for the Conquest (unlike the manual for my 95 Talon which also covers the Eclipse) are they really exactly the same?
  2. What's up, guys? I'm a newbie to the forum and the Starquest world. I've been doing a lot of research lately on them, and I finally picked up my 87 Starion that I'd paid for last week. It's now sitting in my driveway, waiting till I have some time and money for the work to begin. I've started a halfa**ed website to chronicle my progress, but the site will get a more detailed and better laid out as time goes on. You can check that out at: http://www.anamewithheld.com/starionproject I'm diggin' in for the long haul on this one. I've wanted one of these cars ever since I laid eyes on one. I'm pretty lucky in that respect. My current daily driver is a 1995 Eagle Talon, another car I've always wanted. I plan on making my Starion into a summer driver that'll see its fair share of runs at the track, and maybe even some local car shows. I had to laugh. As we were towing the car from where I picked it up to my house, it was getting looks from people walking down the street. I'm pretty stoked about this project...I haven't really gotten a chance to REALLY dig in and check everything out. The car's got quite a bit of minor body damage and rot all over the place (which you can see on the site) and the motor doesn't run yet. If anyone has any advice on where I should start this restoration in preperation for the addition of performance mods, it would be greatly appreciated. Check everyone later.
