JMAutoRacing, stay or go??

These guys are constantly spamvertising the forum and cluttering up the group purchase section with spam that's not a group purchase.  They login every morning and post the same spam in all their multiple threads.  Its been an ongoing issue since they joined.

Um...yeah...this thread IS geared toward just these vehicles.  You see, this is S T A R Q U E S T C L U B . C O M

And you have posted this thread in the STARQUESTCLUB.COM group buy category.  Pardon me for stating the obvious, but the only items I see a group buying from this website would be items affiliated with these cars...it's sort of the reason we all joined this site.  I didn't come here to find parts for my S2000.

So unless we're all driving another car in common, then this thread is irrelevant, along with your argument...to say nothing of the fact that you haven't advertised a group buy on anything in this thread.  Unless I'm sorely mistaken, a group buy is one that beholds a particular product or product lineup to, in effect, a niche clientelle.  In addition, that group buy generally offers a discount as a result of that niche, or group, ordering said particular product or product lineup...which I don't see happening in this thread.  I would say that your other threads like the D2 and Mishimoto are more of what most consider a group buy.

I know I've gone group happy here, but I'm just trying to make a point.  I've been to your website and seen that you guys indeed have some great products, some of which I may be calling you about (D2s).  :D   But in the interest of helping this website be more efficient and effective, maybe consider some of the things that we, your potential customers, are asking/saying...

TM - had to go searching through your entire site and was only able to find a few items related to what this site is gauged for
tankbob - requesting info and pictures on specific SQC-relevant parts
Scotty Dont - asking what is the group purchase on this thread

I know you've got to get out there and pound the pavement to bring customers in, and I very much respect that.  But throwing up a mis-categorized weekly discount thread with non-existent, vague, or potentially irrelevant "specials" isn't maximizing your time spent, and isn't doing us service.

So what do you guys think??  Maybe we should restrict them to one and only one thread to spam in, it gives them the opportunity to sell the one or two parts they actually offer for Starions.

EDIT:
Seems some more clarification is needed on their background...

Weren't they involved in bringing the d2's to market?

And now you want to throw them under the bus because there exclusive distribution contract has run out?

To get an exclusive deal you have to put up dollars. With out dollars, new stuff does not get made.

Is it that  hard to not to click on there posts?
No, the D2's were available 2 months before they ever showed up.

They never had an "exclusive distribution contract".

They never had anything to do with the development or helping bring D2's to the market.

They are only a distributor of parts.

Don't be so quick to judge before knowing the correct facts.

Blew up 2nd gear, thanks FANTA.

Its all Justin's fault telling guys to get out and drive their car.

Lol... Jk, I was dailying it anyway.

It feels like some teeth broke off... My Starion felt 2nd was overrated, and effectively converted itself into a 4spd.

I have new transmissions on standby and have called in the Triple Diamond Mafia to swap out the trans while I'm in the middle of a full drift.

The trans was tired, and I was getting ready to change it anyway (like next weekend).  I just felt it coming soon.  What I didn't expect was for it to break so soon while just pulling easily through a four way stop, not even abusing it.  She got me the 40 miles I needed to safety though, I even was faster than stupid Camrys lol.  A Porsche got me on the downhill because I was in limp mode.

Good set of hyd lifters, ASAP...

I know I can buy these new from Randy, but they're going in my van which is a high mileage beast... so if I can get them cheaper to get me by for now, that'd be great.

Let me know what you have, I'll need pics.

Made an 80's themed shirt...

Watermarked and low res, but you get the idea.

"All original artwork", I recycled those palm trees from one of my pics haha.  My wife doesn't like the 80'sness of it, but this shirt is not for her lol.  It says Turbo Club, as a joke between friends... but now I'm kinda liking it.  The one I intended to print says STARION TURBO.  It'd be printed already but my stupid printer is always finding a way to fight me, I need to go Office Space on it.

Climate controlled parts storage...

14 March 2013 - 07:36 PM

Climate controlled parts storage, a fancy way of saying... there were Starion accessories in my house lol...

I had turbos, blow off valves, and other small items on my office desk.  In the bedroom, a modified 4g63 intake manifold that had been sitting unboxed for years... so I could wake up, look at it from the bed and dream lol.  There was also a set of pistons and rods and some sensors.  The oil pick up o-ring and pump gasket are probably still in the closet, but... that's a task for another time.  The parts went back into the garage, though some had been delivered at my door, inspected inside the house, and then stacked on my office desk, or shelved as "art" in the bedroom.

Wife never minded or nagged me about it, just been in the cleaning/organizing mood lately.  In fact she almost supports the addiction, check out what she got me for my desk (enjoying an Orion beer that Lou recommended too):

I know there are others like me out there... (like SOTTY who's said to have an entire room dedicated to climate controlled hoarding... [probably for all those 16g's he's selling])  Speak up and join the support group if you are, don't be afraid!!

EDIT: I'm probably going to keep the brand new TPS on my desk, it's another trophy/trinket I like to look at... lol.
