AustinTSI
I'm still trying to get my MS2 + EDIS4 conversion done but I thinking that my ignition control module (the EDIS) is defective so I went to Autozone and they want $220 for a new one! I got mine from like a '93 Ford Escort. Is there a cheaper version or something? David.
MainstreaM
millions of escorts in thousands of junkyards
jisleyjr
I just picked up the EDIS-4 setup on ebay for 30$ shipped. Or the junkyard would be a place to go. I wouldn't pay more then 15 if i pulled it off the car myself.
Guest
I don't use the module. Wasted spark ftw.
mig8788
why do u go to the escort edis4
CaliConquestAlex
We use the escort module because it's the only 4 cylinder EDIS 4 module available. They are a dime a dozen at most junk yards. You can get the entire EDIS 4 setup from a car for cheap and very easily. The tricky part is trying to remove the crank pulley to get the trigger wheel. I pulled a spark plug and jammed a screwdriver into the piston to hold the engine while I broke the bolt loose. I'm sure like most things, "there's more than one way to skin a cat." psu_Crash
what about the truck distruibutor with the spacer i had made years a go. IMO that is the easier way to go with more spark control options than EDIS. Although a little more know-how is needed

ESIrType?
I'm still trying to get my MS2 + EDIS4 conversion done but I thinking that my ignition control module (the EDIS) is defective so I went to Autozone and they want $220 for a new one! I got mine from like a '93 Ford Escort. Is there a cheaper version or something? David. I changed over my MS last year and have my old EDIS module laying around. I don't need it and if you want it, you can have it for cheap. It's on a nice mounting bracket too. If you're interested, PM me.
