maybe if you ran spacers you could do it.

I run P245/60R15 on the back of mine. I did fold the inner fender lip up and sealed it. I only hit under hard acceleration, but that was most of the time..

but you dont have stock rims do you ken?

and mike, as far as i know there are no 16" flatty wheels, even then 5lug 85.5 were 15x6.5"

I dont think the rear would be a problem but i probably wouldnt put the 225 on the front without a spacer. Even if it didnt rub just sitting there under hard cornering when you get sidewall deflection you are going to rub. also you are talking about a big difference in sidewall. 225/50 gives you a 112.5 side wall. 215/60 gives you a 129 sidewall. you are talking about 25.1" tall tire vs 23.85" tall tire.

matt or luke, werent those 14" rims?

Matt here and no they are 15x6.5in rims on there. with no spacers. They dont rub at all but I would make sure the shocks are in very good condition or they might rub. And make sure the bushings on the sway bar are good and tight as well.

^^^ dood, you have the nicest looking flatty i've ever seen

Thanks, it's still a work in progress.......after 12 years of owning it, I still got a long list of mods.

It never ends........ :confused0024:

kinda off topic but zack since the pic is there:), how are you venting your gas tank? and where.

What I did was take the roll-over valve (that's usually mounted on the firewall), and connected it to the rubber vent hose that comes out of the gas tank. That was terminated around the fuel pump area outside and underneath the car with a breather on the end that comes out of the roll-over valve. All other hoses leading to the charcoal canister (and anything else having to do with it) are gone........

No gas smells inside the car, and whatever fumes come out, quickly get dissipated behind the car at speed :hmm3grin2orange:

Now take another good look at that pic and tell me where my accel. cable is

i see it dropping down right beside the intake man. but youve asked me that before:)

i was wondering about the vent because i vented mine in the engine bay and on the warmer days i get a little wiff of fuel smell. I was wondering if dumping it out back by the tank would cause the smell to enter the cab. I thought about bringing a line up to the filler neck.

thanks and sorry to get off topic

I'd be paranoyed about venting it in the engine bay; a little too much fumes, and something might ignite it.........I've never smelled fuel inside mine, just make sure you have some kind of breather/filter on the end of the vent line (if you're keeping it short) so stuff doesn't get INSIDE the gas tank.

Sorry to be off topic, too........

I'm going to bring this thread back up from the dead and bring it back a little closer to topic.

What is the widest wheel and tire combo possible for the REARS only.

I have a hard time hooking up at the track but the after market wheels and tires I have on there were limited to what would work on the front.

I'm thinking of getting a new wheel/tire set-up just for taking it to the track.
