Atlas_LS
I was just wondering about it all night. I'm going to be looking for a good project while I'm in the marine corps, and I'd want it to be done by the end of my first enlistment term (5 years). And I've seen guys here paying like a grand or 2 for a t56 trans, and I've seen full camaros going for the same price, so why not have one of the best v8's out there and the best trans in one of my favorite cars. Just something I've been playing around with lately, because I don't want to be spending like 15-25k on a fast car and making huge payments on my E-2 pay at first. Id rather have a 200 a month payment and have a gofast project at the house...or living quarters. But yeah, lt1 in a starion would be a bad complain. MikesSVX
http://ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=466645 8) That made me drool a little. If I was willing to spend more, I'd be temped to drop in one of the 6.0L chevy truck engines. They can be gotten fairly cheap and with about $5000 including the cost of the engine you can get 500HP N/A. Chevy magazine (my father reads it) picked up on for $1200 and swapped out the cam, bolted on a set of complete LS7 heads from GM preformance, and a few other goods. They put it on an engine dyno and had over 500 at the crank.
