phishfud
I have a nice pair of Michelin Pilots that are 245/50/16 off another car. I'm curious how well these fit or would look on stock rear 8's. I don't want them to look too tall, but it would save me from buying two tires. anyone run this size or have pics of what they look like on the car? Thanks for any info. dmyers151
I run a 245/45 and that's about as tall as I would go personally. I think a 245/50 is a shade too tall. In this picture, I have 8" front and rear wheels with 245/45's http://i471.photobucket.com/albums/rr71/dmyers151/April_2010/HPIM0493.jpg
phishfud
I was afraid of that. I ran the 50's on 9's once and was ok, but I kinda figured the 8's wouldn't cut it. Rats..gotta get some tires then.

Going to look the same for the most part between an 8 and 9 with that profile.
kidjc
Personal opinions I suppose? I run 245 X 50 X 16 on my 8" rears on my original 89' DD, ( & my 88' ) w/ 225 X 55 X 16 on my 7" fronts. Same exact rotation/diameter. I've run these for years, gone thru many a set in the past 18 yrs. on my DD. I do run the 245 X 45 X 16 on my SHP 9" rears, w/ 225 X 50 X 16 on the 8" fronts. (standard SHP factory) On the factory setting, stock springs, on both 89' cars; I personally like the way the DD sits w/ the wheel wells filled better. But then again... I'm not into most of the new stuff; stretched & all. GL to all, & their own
