Texas StarQuest Regional Meet: August 23rd - August 25th, 2013

Official Meet page here:

Update: 5/21/13

Hey Gang,

The dates have changed to the weekend of August 23rd thru 25th so that we can take advantage of getting some track time at Lonestar.

I've spoken with my friend David who owns Churchill's Sportsbar and he's going to roll out the red carpet for us.

I've also spoken with Chris and David with Hennessey Motorsports at Lonestar Motorsports Park. We'll have our own private staging and show area (I'll go out and set it up beforehand), and all the track time we want all day long. General admission will be $10 and you can run your car on the 1/4 mile as many times as you want for another $10.

Here's what I'm thinking. We all meet up at Churchill's on Friday evening for dinner and drinks, etc.

Saturday is track day for those interested, so we'll be heading to Lonestar Motorsports Park for most of the day, and that evening. We'll reconvene at Churchill's after track closes.

Sunday will be the day that David at Churchill's will set us up with the whole enchilada. We'll have our own showcase parking area along the patio side of the venue which faces the main road. We'll also have our own private area on the patio (or the entire patio if we have that many people). He's going to pull out the BBQ smoker for us and will also do crawfish if there's enough people interested. Of course they have their regular menu as well which is very nice.

Let me know if you have plans to attend so that I can keep on top of things.

I was in Sugarland for the Thompson Muscle classic last year and stayed in a place called the fountains or lakes? Where a buddy of mine lives... nice area. I would be interested. I think my quest can actually make a long distance trip lol now!

Sweet Jesus, I'm all in for sure! I've never run the Miata on the 1/4 mile, so I'm definitely interested to see what happens!

And the VIP treatment...with crawfish! Can't get much better than that! :D

We aim to please sir!

Ok Gang,

I'm going to sweeten the pot...We'll hold a raffle on Sunday for a set of custom StarQuest floor mats. The winner will be able to pick their colors, patterns, fonts, etc. just like in the group buy.

Cheers,

Nick

It looks like I'm supposed to work that weekend but I'll see if I can switch some things up. What kind of hours are we looking at for the track day?

I'll find out what time the track opens and let you know sir.
