That is why I haven't had the surgery. I'm scared that it will make things worse. However if you let it go too far, it will be irreparable.

I have carpal tunnel in both wrists and have had it since 1998. I learned to live with it. There are certain things I can't really do anymore as a result...or at least have to limit...but i guess that is life. When it flares up though, it hurts! You can't sleep at night, can barely function in life (can't write, use the keyboard, even hurts to hold a phone). Thankfully mine is fairly controllable...when it flares up, I can calm it down pretty quick with the CTS brace, anti-inflamatory supplements, fish oil, etc.

From what I heard, the cubital tunnel syndrome is more painful than carpal tunnel.

Rob,

Good luck with your surgery. Wish you a speedy recovery so you can get to your pastimes :)

Rob know what you mean about the elbows , I've been on sent to my knees before when stuck head bolts pop loose ,, that and a long day of reeling in big fish can set it off , I've had sting rays bring tears to my eyes from my elbow's hurting so bad

if I can ever figure out the $$ to spend a few days in a motel and make the drive up there i'l deff do it ,,I've always wanted to be on a boat that the captain wanted to catch fish,, most just want to take a ride and your moneys :)

Kev theres diff ways of handleing the operation I learned the hard way find a younger doc,, they are more likely to be up on the modern ways of operateing on you , , older doc's cut and then cut some more , scared of trying something new , cut ligaments are just that CUT , theres alternate ways these days
