I will be headed from Casper Wy to Danville Va to get my Starion and some storage left there.

There are three routes to take on google maps. Just need advice on the best choice.

I will be pulling my 28ft enclosed trailer also.

thanks guys

have you done the math to see how many miles you gonna cover per day? Rest?

Not really, just going to drive till tired. Find a rest stop and sleep.

That's way too many miles driving yourself and towing a trailer? :(

I've driven motor coaches professionally over the road and never done more than 600 miles (legally) a day and that was a lot.

I once drove my Conquest 1000 miles and that took 18 hours taking pit and gas stops, dang near killed me.

I would strongly advise you take a co-driver or take more time!

Yeah Perry I have to agree with everyone on that one.. Well, you drove out to Wyoming right? So you know what to expect.

Ive driven from VA to WA twice, and both times I had my lady with me, but I did 90% of the driving, as she isnt so great at 5 speed (although her driving through Chicago and having to stop every 3 miles for a toll both was pretty entertaining to say the least :D)

The longest leg we ever did was from Minneapolis to Billings.. I think it took us right at 15 or 16 hours, and I was just beat afterwards. It'd be tough to do a few days in a row.

i'l agree 3600 mile , one driver not a good idea,,

I will say this,, some road toutes may look shorter but pay attention to the time the maps give you , my last trip thru there I took a shorter mileage route that actualy took me longer cause it didn't show a 3500 ft mountain you had to go up and down at 20mph or less , 150 mile longer toute would have saved me 3 hours of driving

Shelby makes a good point, whichever route has the most interstate, which I reckoned is the second choice on your 3 options

Also, truck stops and Walmart are your friends on the super slab for parking and facilities.

900 miles a day? That's a tall order to complete even with 2 drivers, and in a vehicle that can just tool right along. You'll be by yourself and pulling a trailer which will require driving slower if you hit heavy wind or weather. It will probably also take more mental power to concentrate on driving with a trailer, especially if you hit rough weather. I bet you could pull it off for a day, maybe 2... After that you'll just be exhausted because there's no way you'll be getting more than 4 or 5 hours of sleep a day.

The only way this will turn out good, is if you get by well on no sleep for days in a row, and there are NO issues on the road. With that tight of schedule, something as simple as a blown tire will make you late.

^^ What he said. On a tight schedule like that, one snag will screw up your timeline.

I think 600-700 miles a day is possible. You'll be dog tired after the second day. It will be 12-14 hour days, if conditions are clear and nothing gets in your way.

simple fact is no car is worth throwing away your life over,, if 4 days is all the time you have ,, wait till a later date with more time and more driving help

when I was young doing a 1000 mile drive in a day was nothing no big deal but those days are long gone

your going to be lucky to maintain a 55 mile per hour average even on an interstate and that's on the 1 & 2'd day the 3'd and 4th you won't even know when they get there , odds are you'll sleep thru the 3 'd day

Yeah that's a ridiculous ride. I know when I bought my first conquest I drove from NH to Ohio to get it, left around 5pm on Friday and got back at 7am or so on Sunday. We drove for about 9 hours + breaks to get there, 600+ miles each way, checked into the hotel at 4am-ish, checked out at 8am, hit the bank to get the title transfer/notarized and we were back on our way home at 9am. It was brutal and that was with 4 people.

Everbody has great points. I plan on leaving on the 23 of this month ,thursday and driving till I can't and sleep in the truck ( I normally only sleep 6 hours at the most.

I was hoping to get in Va friday evening but if I don't no big deal. As stated above its not worth getting me or my youngest son hurt or worse. Mapquest states a 27 hr drive. I'm need to be back to work on tuesday but if I miss a day or two its no big deal. I planned to load the car and storage on the trailer saturday.I can drive for at least 14 hours with no issues.

I plan on getting a few 5 hr energy and plenty of caffine.

I will try and keep everyone posted on where I am, thanks guys.

Water works better than caffeine and energy crap drinks. No BS. That and stopping for 5 minute and sropping down to some push ups, up downs, squats, jumping jacks etc. Get the heart beating really good.

Your right about that Shelby. I made it, took long enough. Everything is packed and ready for the back, I wish I was though.

yep and the hardest things to do is get sleep when you know you got a long way to go :)

There's a sleep aid for that called alcohol! Comes in beer, tequila, vodka and various other forms!
