Turborusty
My son asked me what All-trac meant as we were walking through the parking lot the other day........I told him it was a Toyota all-wheel drive and asked him if he saw a Celica. "No, that stupid looking Corolla over there" he says.....I had walked right past it and it never caught my eye. Never knew they made such a thing. http://www.26liter.us/gallery/albums/userpics/10070/101_0189.JPG Turborusty Edited March 9, 2010 by Turborusty
jahjah
omg lets see if i can remember... i think.... toyota made a few all-trac Corolla wagonshttp://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/02/Toyota-Corolla-AllTrac-rear.jpg However... the Corolla had zero intent as a performance vehicle, it was mostly sold to cold climate regions. Turborusty
wasn't a wagon, it was the sedan.......I'll get my camera from the car in a while and load the pic I took of the rear end. I peeked underneath and it had a solid axle in the rear. Turborusty Edited March 9, 2010 by Turborusty

Hell, since it's got the 4AFE, a 20v will bolt right up.
Turborusty
updated 1st post with pic. As you can tell, it was definitely a show-winner. I initially thought some douche stuck an all-trac emblem on...but nope, has a real axle underneath. Here's another interesting pic, that didn't really deserve it's own thread. BAD GAS? This is REALLY rare around here to see rusted out cars, but this caught my eye. Must be a transplant from a Salt-Belt state or something, cause the car's just not that old. http://www.26liter.us/gallery/albums/userpics/10070/101_0186.JPG Turborusty
D_Venable
^^ or they don't know how to fill up a car, I bet repeated drips of gas, and not wiping it up ate the paint, then it just rusted from there. OR, small pump fire?
conquest707
THIS. Hell, since it's got the 4AFE, a 20v will bolt right up. looks like i just added another thing to add to the routine CL search.

Komeuppance
Undoubtedly another aftermarketless 80's misfit. It's an 88+ not tooooo 80's styling. The corolla came all trac'd in 1988-1992. The Previa was also available all trac'd... would have been good fun paired with the factory supercharged version. -Robert

Guest
I saw an "all trac" 1990 Camry at the race trac some time back. The dude had the turbo motor in that sucker and it was all trac 5 speed sedan!! I thought it was interesting, considering at the time I had two of those Camry all trac 5 Speed trannies at my wrecking yard.
Dave-O
I just Wikipedia'd this, and asked a good buddy of mine who's a Toyota uber-nerd, and he's even surprised at this. Wikipedia backs this up in two articles though, one for the Corolla itself, and one for the All-Trac system: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/All-Trachttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_Corolla Craziness! I want one!

Dave-O
One just sold on the local online classifieds for $1000. I'd rally one, but I'd imagine finding parts for that would make shopping for SQ parts like buying for a Honda. Also found out these Corollas have a center diff lock for 50/50 power distribution.
