A real Mitsubishi on Ebay

Recommended Posts

Its respray is a little off color, look at the door jamb

Cute "turbo" ebay name plate since the Starion one must have fallen off and gotten lost.

Seized up rear calipers huh? Says the parking brake cable isn't hooked up.

There is some hacked wiring at the battery for some ground wire, and it has one of those POS Accel coils that die at random and leave you stranded.

I've never seen anyone hook in what looks to be a DSM BOV into the PCV hose, lol that's retarded. Might as well put it on the end of a hose with a hole in it.

I don't see the bypass hose off the MAF for the unmetered portion of air off the lid its gone. That accordian hose looks like its from some other car it doesn't fit at the compressor housing and its cut and slipped on much further than it can go. Maybe its from a DSM and why there wasn't a bypass hose connection but there was a huge one for the recirculation from that BOV.

It has blown strut mounts.

"Certified mechanic" huh, wonder if it was one of those ASE types that takes an online test for cooling systems and gets a sticker and calls himself a "mechanic" because that's just how simple it is to get that certification.

The car had/has been leaking coolant and fuel, its obvious look at the turbine housing. Blown head and knocking motor from coolant in the oil is likely why it was "rebuilt".

There isn't a battery strap and it has those cheesy battery terminals so you can hack off more wire every three months to keep the connection clean until you run out of cable and have to buy new ones.

The fan wiring has been messed with, there is no connector in the clip for the secondary and I'll bet its wired into the primary.

That's the type of "certified mechanic" I don't want near my car.

They did put a nice airdam on it but I still think the three piece 87 style was the best looking on the car. I'd not bid unless I got to drive it why else is a resprayed car with a rebuilt motor for sale so cheap? Must have gotten that motor for a good price.

Appears it has been sitting outside for quite a long time, takes awhile for the greasy mess to come off the differential and it rust and you see rust in the seats and the knee pad under the steering column. If you asked me, this car was likely sitting in the weeds for about ten years with dead paint and a dead motor and someone dumped some money into it hopefully it was to keep it and not a used car dealer looking for a quick buck. Carfax has 19 hits on it and Ohio has emissions testing so it also must have had quite a few different owners too.

Remember its still a used car and you should see it first and drive it before you buy it. It looks nice and if that's a decent motor that's not a bad price wonder why they don't just keep it? Going to have to deal with that cold start issue the injectors are suspect on that one.

Besides that mess of an engine bay the car actually looks pretty clean. Whoever buys this should just pull out everything but the motor and try again. The guy who set this one up wasn't exactly the man for the job.

Is that a coolant hose being used on the OVCP?
