  1. Hey everyone, I am in need of an `88 ECU (Ignitor Box) for my `88 Quest. It blew about a month ago & my car has been sitting since. Since I've been so busy. This is the first chance I've had to post a wanted add. My brother (Coke) says I should also replace my fuel injection harness as well. The last owner did some cutting & splicing on it. So if anyone has either both, or at least 1 of these parts & they're interested in parting with them. Please send me an e-mail directly at country_pickup_outlaw@yahoo.com. Thanks!! Jay
  2. Thanks! I actually found 1 with a numer still on it. Just to let everyone know. I called our local dealership trying to get one, and supposidly these boots have been discontinued. Which surprises me considering they don't normally go all that often. Do they? LOL!
  3. Hi guys & gals, it's beeen quite awhile since I've been on here. So forgive me if I'm posting this in the wrong spot. Hopefully I'm not. LOL!! I'm currently pulling the tranny out of my Quest to replace the throw out bearing. I've noticed that my fork shift boot is beyond reuse. Can anyone tell me where I can either get a new boot, or give me the part # so I can order one through Mitsu? Thanks a bunch!!
  4. Hey guys, my brother (CokeDoctor) just got rearended in the new Red `88 he JUST got and put on the road this morning!!! The car needs a pass. side taillight, and a rear bumper. Does anyone have one laying around?? If you happen to, E-mail him direct at WhiteLightningSaturn@Yahoo.com. Justin was parked on the side of the road making a phone call, when this guy came up behind him in an 88 Blazer. The other guy was trying to grab something out of his glovebox. He looked up, saw justin sittin there, and swerved last minute. He just clipped the rear end a bit. It could've been A LOT worse than what it was. Pretty sad too, cause this is Justin's first SHP Sunroof car. He FINALLY got his sunroof car, and then this happens! W.T.H.!!
  5. I have a BRAND NEW Fidanza Flywheel & ACT 2100 Series Cluth for sale!! They are still intheir boxes & factory packaging. They are for an 88 or 89 StarQuest with the stock larger flywheels/clutches. I also have, BRAND NEW as well, all the tranny parts needed for when doing a Hi-Perf. clutch replacement. I have the new clutch fork, fulcrums, etc... all Brand NEW from Mitsu. All together, you're looking at about $700.00 in parts!! I'm willing to lose a little, and sell the WHOLE KIT for $600.00! Shipping charges will apply obviously. I'll probably ship UPS, but will ship Fed Ex if asked to. I don't want to break up the package deal, but if I get enough interests in the individual parts from differnet buyers, I will obviously reconsider. You can E-mail me directly at country_pickup_outlaw@yahoo.com with any Qs. You can calculate the shipping costs at www.UPS.com. The clutch with it's box, is 20 lbs, and the flywheel & box is 13 lbs.. My zip code is 14001. So add yours & you can get the shipping cost. Thanks, Jay
  6. Well, my brother (Coke) tore into it tonight after he got home from work. Come to find out, it didn't blow out. The gasket was simply rolled under, on the inside. He fixed it though, and it should be OK. BUT, I still do need a turbo. He said that the shaft had ALOT of play, lol. So, I'm still lookin for a turbo. I will do a compression test tomorrow, and then post.
  7. Well, I thought this was gonna be my year for my Quest. HA! Guess not! Tonight my valve cover gasket went, BIG TIME, and I lost almost all my oil. The motor still runs, but the turbo is seized! I currently have a S16G, so I am looking for an equal replacement. If anyone has a good S16G, much preferably with low miles, at a decent price, let me know, PLEASE! I haven't done a compression check yet, to see if any other damage was done yet. So, so far, all that I know for sure is that I need a turbo. I'll let you guys know more when I do. Thanks, Jay
  8. Sactownusa, I have these guages, and just finally got around to getting `em in on the 4th of July, lol. Use the green wire that goes into the back of your factory dimmer switch for power, and then just find a good ground. I used one of the screws in the dash framing, on top, where the gauge cluster sits in the dash. They work great! YES, SpeedHut is still making `em. Just gotta go to the site & order `em up!
  9. I received mine Friday as well. What a surprise! I wasn't even expecting `em! I can't wait to get mine in and light `em up either! If ya haven't received yours yet, I'm sure it will be very soon! Be patient guys!
  10. I received my "Confirmation" E-mail as well a few days ago. I haven't had the time to respond yet, but plan to very soon. The cool thing about the confirmation E-mail, is that they'll let you make any last minute changes to your gauges, before they make em up for ya. I think that is cool. I'm actually thinkin about makin a slight change on mine. Not sure yet. I'm guessing, we should start to receive them in the mail within the first 2 weeks of March. TTYL, Jay
  11. I just received a reply from Speedhut, and they approximate our gauges will be ready & shipping in 4 weeks. They said due to the Holidays, it set them back a bit. So that means by about the 3rd week in February, we should start to see our gauges at our doors.
  12. Well, I just checked the website. It still says they are in tooling. I will E-mail them though to find out how far along they are. I will let you know as soon as I hear something. I too am curious to as when they will be completed. Jay
